Start Yep for the first time and it automatically shows you all your PDFs, iWork and Office documents. The strength in Yep is being able to see your documents and search through them with out needing to worry where exactly you saved it to. Add your own tags to documents - which is like storing them in two places at once. Yep also has the ability to automatically file documents into a simple date based folder system located in your Documents folder. The result is that its easy to keep a running track record of receipts, invoices, research papers - without having to think about where to store it.
Has a built in scanning interface optimized for documents.
Updates for latest Xcode, fixed a bug where a warning about Spotlight could appear in error, dragging fixes.

Yep runs your life for you! Fantastic app - I've used YEP for years. It is the best - Hands down. Very simple to use (I use Fujitsu ScanSnap - Works great). Took the plunge with both my business and personal life to eliminate paper. I went slow at first not sure of how well "going paperless" was going to be. After a few weeks I never looked back. I even went into my old boxes of files - took a weekend and scanned my brains out. With the "tags" burned into the metadata you are guaranteed not to lose your valuable tax documents. I now have scanned my entire life. Recipes from my Mom's 50 years of notes, mortage papers, all my mail everyday!, my kids award certificates, school docs, business cards, all of my household manuals (appliances, tools, lawn mower, furnace, etc.). Now what? - You "tag" them - with categories to find ANYTHING FAST. You need to change your lawn mower oil - The manual is there in an instant. Your on the phone and you need the business card of a guy you thought you really never needed - You can find him in a second. Organize all your tax receipts. FInd you Mom's pie recipe. The best is you have no boxes, you don't have to spend hours with an OCR software /data program, No complex file in your harddrive. Worth 10X the price. Backup your main file where YEP stores them - on another hard drive (Maybe two) - Remember you will shread your old files. The ONLY paper I own is in my wallet!!!!

Invaluable PDF Management Tool - If you have a any number PDFs that includes manuals, financial statements, receipts, correspondence, etc. you need Yep. When used in tandem with a scanner that has built-in OCR capability, you can skip naming the files and just use Yep’s annotation tools to manage your files. I am able to find just the document I need in a collection of ~1000 documents in seconds; using just the tag and description fields or the Bookmark (saved search) functionality. Deceptively powerful and well worth the price of admission.
My digital filing cabinet - I’ve been using Yep since 2011 and it manages every document I’ve ever received - thousands!. To make it easier should anything ever go wrong, I have them stored in directories based on the month of receipt but I never have to go searching. Using Yep’s tagging system I can quickly find any document I’m searching for, which comes in really handy at tax time! I honestly don’t want to think about how stressed I would be without this application.
As advertised - I’ve had this a long time, but only recently started REALLY using it. It’s like any other great software, you MUST take the time to learn how to use it, but once you do, it really is like iTunes for your documents. I admit, I don’t use it for any images, I use Adobe Bridge, because of the sheer volume of them, but for MSOfc, Libre Office, iWork and especially PDF files, of which I have TONS of (sending image proofs!), this works exactly as advertised. If you’re wondering if it’s worth the price, yes, but I cannot stress enough, you have to take the time in learning how to use it. Just like Word, or Photoshop, it has a lot of features, and knowing these when you begin makes it so much more useable. It catalogs everything, and though it could use some more in-depth search capabilities, once it’s cataloged everything searches are pretty quick! Being on an 8 year old iMac, I’m curious how fast it would be on the newer machines! So if you’re working with a ton of office docs and PDF’s, this will definetly help you keep track of what you have.
Used to work - Does not work with catalina and HP Envoy scanner. It used to work with it fine, but then I bought a new mac with catalina and it no longer functions properly. It scans fine the first time, but refuses to do so any time after that until you quit out of the application and open it up again. Rinse and repeat. I tried contacting the developer, but I haven't gotten a response.
Duplex Scanning - Everything works great on Yep! But recently I've been having trouble with the duplex scanning. There is no check mark when I click it, then when I'm done using the duplex scanning portion, it doesn't go back to scanning a single page at a time. It stays stuck on duplex scanning. I've check the seach tool on Yep! for help but there is nothing mentioned on how to fix it.
