Very accurate weather information supplied by The Weather Company.

The app tries to get your default weather forecast location via Location Services or, if it is not approved, by IP address. If that also fails (for example if you have a VPN) then the app cannot determine the weather forecast location automatically. Then you must enter your location manually.

If you experience any issues please contact us directly using the "Contact Us" button/menu item and specify your forecast location.

Nationwide and local info quickly - I like this app because it works well, and is updated often. I use it to keep up with the wind and the rain, because things change very fast during “winter” in California — rain and wind and chilly 2-3 days a week, sunny and 75 degrees the other days — impossible to make plans (even what to wear) without this app. I need to tie down some of my plants if the wind is more than 20 mph, and this app is indispensible for following quickly changing conditions — and I can keep the info visible in my dock at all times. In addition, I can quickly see what’s going on with my kids on the east coast (blizzards, sunny, 12 degrees, 45 degrees).. I just click back and forth in the area where I’ve listed their various cities. I love it. Good Job by the developers.

Need iPad App that will run on my Mac !! - I have several iPad apps that do a pretty good job of weather reporting. Too bad none of them will run on my MacBook Pro. This app is not really useful at all, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Especially not to a friend. Someone REALLY needs to develop some weather apps for Macs & laptops similar to those for iPad and iPhone. So. No. I’m not pleased with this one at all, and even less pleased with half a dozen others that I have tried over the last couple of years. This one is still on my MacBook (unlike the others),, but only because I want to have SOMETHING no matter the lack of quality or usefulness. . . .

Almost ideal - For the most part I like the app, it pretty much does what I need (weater in a number of different cities), but there are two big issues (for me) that keep it from being a 5. It used to show the temp in the dock, now it just shows if it's sunny, rainy, or whatever. I can get that by looking out the window, I need the temp back. Second, and a bigger issue, is that when I Cmd-Tab into the app it does not bring up a window showing the weather. I have to go up to the menu bar and select Window -> Weather. As soon as the app gets focus it should open the window. Why else woud I Cmd-Tab into it? Now, I'm not just speaking about Cmd-Tab, which is my preferred method, but even clicking on the icon in the Dock does not bring up the weather window. As I said, this should be a given.

The obe item I dislike - When you click on the icon and weather dock opens The background is dark and it is extremely difficult to read dark test on a dark backfound.

Fast - Fast and accurate. Very handy and MUCH better than waiting on Weather Channel to get their act together.
