Splice is an experimental and artistic puzzler. Immerse yourself in its microbial world and start splicing! Every level ("strand") consists of a number of cells that you will need to rearrange into a target structure in several moves ("splices"). Exploration and experimentation are key in determining how the curious little cells react to each other. Predict the sequence of splices you'll have to make in order to successfully arrange each strand. Re-sequence, mutate, and splice your way through this unique puzzle experience, and you'll exercise your ability to visualize sequential series of shapes over time. Solve your way to the final strands and you'll be left with a heady sense of mental accomplishment!

Beautiful. just. BEAUTIFUL. - I bought this game on a whim because i saw it on the Mac app store and i had money to spend- i decided this after i watched a video of its gameplay which intrigued me. BEST purchase since I've bought this Mac! (Four months ago?) The music. The simplicity. The complexity. The magic. DO NOT listen to the other reviewers!!! the lack of tutorial MAKES THE GAMEPLAY ALL THE BETTER. You FEEL like a genius when you solve it, EVERY single TIME. I stopped playing after 13 minutes of gameplay JUST to write this review to CONVINCE you guys to play this game. Please. Get it. Play. Review. and Play again. thank you for your time.

Nice design, but boring - Splice certainly doesn't look or sound like any other game I've played, and the feeling of being suspended in a bacterial culture is pretty well done. Many reviewers have commented on the music, and I can see how you would either like it (like me) or find it annoying. The real problem with the game is that it's boring. It takes a few levels to figure out how to play, and after that it's very repetitive. If you don't get a puzzle right the first time, you rewind your steps and try a different approach until you solve it. I cannot imagine playing more than one level at a sitting. In the end, it's a waste of clever, immersive design on what ends up being a dull game.

Retina Support - So, first off, this game is fantastic. I love the music, the gameplay can be a little repetitive, but so can every other puzzle game on the market right now. The only thing that I have a problem with is the "Retina Support". 1440 x 900? That isn't retina. I purchased this game specifically because it stated that it had retina support. Only to find that after my 10 dollars was spent, I can only use HALF of my retina display!? Please do not advertise as a Retina Ready game when it isn't. I'm not saying the game looks horrible, but it certainly wasn't worth 10 bucks without actual retina support. Please update. Please.

Great game, fun cool, totally recommend it ! - The title said it all ! It's a nice puzzle game where you have to put those ovals into the shapes that they want you to do, and some of them have special attributes, which , males the game great, and if I ever get stuck, I just go on the internet but I'm in sequence 10 and I only went on the internet 3 times and I am 12, so I think any one can work that out, aside from that, the game is great, get it while it's cheep :) -Thank You :)

Not as cool as it looks. - Music is terrible and you can't turn it off. If you get stuck on something, there is no help. Overall I like the concept but its not a great game.

Fun puzzle game - Splice is a very pretty puzzle game, with relaxing background music and the ability to “do-over” any failed levels. However, it simply isn’t worth $10. There’s no story or anything, and while it is a pretty looking and sounding puzzle game with no lives, once you play one level there’s really no changes to the game and it has the potential to get very boring very quickly.
