"It's the best Mac weather app."
-- John Gruber, Daring Fireball

Seasonality Core 2.0 is a Mac app any weather aficionado should have. That's because it's probably the most complete and detailed weather software I've ever seen on the Mac.
-- The Unofficial Apple Weblog

I'm a big fan of good weather-reporting software for years but never thought I'd find nirvana so easily. No weather program I've ever tried, for Windows, Linux or OS X, comes within a light year of Seasonality.
-- Al Fasoldt, The Post-Standard, Syracuse, NY.

Seasonality becomes your weather center. It does everything but control the weather.
-- Mac360

Seasonality Core is the complete weather center for your Mac. View weather at any of the 34,000 built-in locations in more than 200 countries, or add your own custom weather location to view even more precise data. Seasonality gives you an accurate 7 day forecast, graphs of past weather conditions, a custom satellite/radar image, and much more.

Seasonality Core's graphs are excellent at showing how weather conditions are changing over days, months, or even years. Seasonality Core will automatically collect and store weather data indefinitely.

The custom satellite/radar image gives users the option to adjust opacity of both overlays, show the latest North American surface analysis, and view the global wind flow with Particle Mode.

Seasonality Core has a solid foundation from being in development for more than 15 years. We always welcome feedback, and have made countless improvements to the software over the years based on user suggestions. If Seasonality Core is missing something, we want to hear about it! Send your feedback to our support email.

Release Notes:

• Fixed a bug where a forecast may be missing in the graphs.
• Fixed a display bug when launching.

Nice app, great support - I originally purchased version 2.0 of this app and had immediate problems that made it unusable. I wasn't pleased, and since the price was more than I just wanted to "forget about," I contacted the developer for a possible fix. I was very surprised that even though it was a weekend, an email reply came within in minutes of my request. My list of hardware helped Mike identify a compatibility issue with my older Mac Pro's video card. Even though I was one of only about three others reporting the issue, Mike thoroughly researched the problem, worked with Apple, and within a few days came up with a fix. He made beta copies available, and the first one worked perfectly (this fix is included in v2.1). There are many nice features here, and it is very fast, virtually instantaneous when switching among the easily added user locations. The combination of the satellite and visible radar views all in one place is a very nice touch. I am very pleased with Seasonality Core, and working with the developer was a very pleasant and productive experience.

Version 1.6

Expecting much more... - Given the companys overview of the product, and the price I was expecting much more from this weather application. There are many things that it's lacking that you can get from free online weather websites. It has no way to track precipitation accumulation, and doesn't give you any type of forcast other that % chance of rain or snow and temperature. The weather map has no type of animation and when you zoom in down to a county view it gets fairly blurry. To the application designer, please add some animation to the map, possibly a couple hours in each direction of the current time. An hour by hour forcast would be nice also, along with precipitation accumulation totals. Also, maybe a way to make the weather map bigger without having to expand the entire application screen. I have to say, I'm very disappointed that I paid $25 for this....I wish there was a way to get my money back.
