Very Nice App - I really like this app. I was using Notify, but that basically only gives the option to be notified of when mail arrived, which it what is intended. With Mail Call, I can reply, compose, delete, mark read, etc. That's important when you have 4 gmail accounts. It gets around having to sign into and out of the different accounts. Is it worth $9.99? To me it is.

Insecure according to Google - When I tried to set up Gmail with this I was told it is not using the current security standards, and was blocked. Google: "Some devices and apps use insecure sign-in technology to access your data.”

Best Menu Bar Mail Client - Almost There - This is the best and most complete Menu Bar Mail Client so far. I am hoping it will keep enhancing its features and then I will change it to 5 stars. Missing Features Must have: - Ability to choose the folder to display its emails. - Search capability (all folders or current folder). - Signature (could get it from Apple Mail if possible). - Redirect (it is missing and should be at least on the gear menu). Optional: - Flag as in Apple Mail (different colors capability).

I no longer recommend Mail Call (down five stars to none) - AMENDED, April 26, 2018. As of now, this application is inoperative. Perhaps it has a conflict with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 or 5. In any case, it’s frozen. And I can’t remove it from my Mac in the usual way, because the icon has disappeared from my Applications folder, its Preferences pane is frozen on my desktop, and to even try to delete it will require me to reboot my Mac (which didn’t work last time, anyway). Until Pugsley can assure users of better performance — that this application works at all — I would recommend giving it a pass. The convenience I lauded below means nothing when your computer is rendered unusable. AMENDED, May 31, 2017. "At the moment, Mail Call is reporting 791 new emails on my Mac, whereas I can count only about 200 in Apple Mail. It’s been this way for over a week. I emailed Pugsley LLC for support but haven’t heard back from the developer at this time. It’s still a nifty application, but less useful without the ability to accurately indicate my new-email load with just a quick glance. Sorry to be critical but that’s my situation at the moment. Glad to revise this review upward again once the developer gets back to me with a solution or at least a promise to find one." INITIAL COMMENT, May 26, 2017 (after a year’s use). "First of all, it always works. It shows me pending email graphically and item by item. Often, I find it easier to deal with email inside the application rather than in Apple Mail, my usual email client. The interface is easy to manage and offers all the options you need to properly read email, store it, forward it, or delete it, by accounts and by folders = all easy to do, without opening Apple Mai.. Really a boon."

Excellent Email Client I ever purchase!! - I just would like the Developer to respond to my emails I've sent out several times without any responses back. Are there any updates in the future to support the lastest OS's that were released? Thanks...

No longer displays iCloud or Gmail emails - Since sometime in December 2019, Mail Call no longer displays emails from my iCloud and Gmail accounts. For some reason, emails for a Comcast address are still downloading/dsplaying. I previously wrote a review in December 2016 about a similar issue with just the iCloud account, which was resolved with an update. I think the issue was also in part resolved by using an app-specific password for iCloud. I emailed the developer one month ago, with no reply. If the App Store page is correct, this app hasn’t seen an update for 2 1/2 years. One of my most used and appreciated utilities, and there doesn’t seem to be any alternative. Currently running Mac OS 10.13.6.
