Superb rendition of the real Mah Jongg - This is not the first implementation of real Mah Jongg for OS X, but it is one of only a few and by FAR the best. The game offers helpful suggestions (especially nice for MJ n00bs) and just looks grand. It's just like the iPad version, which makes me drool over what other gems might be in the pipe. There could be some improvements -- a way to set one's own name, for instance, as opposed to being 'Player' would be nice, better documentation, and let's not forget multiplayer. Still, this is a very nice rendering of a venerable old game, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

NOT Four Winds Mahjong - This is not the FAMOUS Four Winds Mahjong. I feel completely duped! You can't play any varieties of Mahjong. There are no in game instructions. How can you call this Four Winds Mahjong when it is NOT!?!

OK, but needs work - 1. No true full screen mode, so the tiles are pretty small. 2. Why no double click to discard a tile? You still have to click/drag, even with a mouse. 3. Why can you not enter your own name? 4. An explanation of scoring would be extremely helpful for beginners. I enjoy the game, but for the price, I expected more.

Very good real mahjong game - A fun game and most helpfull for the novice player. I only wish there was an option to make the tiles larger for easier viewing.

No audio on 10.6.8 iMac - When starting this app on my iMac, the opening sound plays but there are no in-game sounds at all. It seems like there should be player voices and such, but nothing. The support link takes you to the developer's web page that just has a list of apps with links back to the app store - no actual "support."

Close, but no cigar - Well, the first problem was -- AFTER I downloaded it, I got a message saying it wasn't optimized for my Mac, and with the next OS upgrade, it will be useless. Thanks a lot. This is an OK game, but it does not allow one to call a play by one's self; you have a pung in hand, but you have to just hold it. The computer does most of the "playing" for you. Also, why don't the tiles sort themselves into suits in one's hand? Gotta keep an eye on everything. It's a shame that the best (IMHO) game, Mahjong Tradition, is no longer being made.
