I beat the game WITHOUT buying anything - When I started to play this game, it was pretty confusing, but it is possible to beat it without buying any in app purchase. I’ve only played this for a couple of months and I didnt have a lot of free time on my hands. All you have to do is know what to buy, when to buy it, and how much money you’ll need to get it. Usually meele kills would be ideal, because they give you money, and you just have to have patience. And every now and then l buy a flash grenade or a reactix pill to help, but it isn’t that difficult. Finally, there is a point in the game where there are no more contracts. This is Chapter 9 in the game if anyone’s wondering. Also the highest level you can achieve is level 20.
WARNING - THEY WILL TAKE YOUR $$$$$$ - ONLY 20 LEVLS - I was enjoying this game, and of course purchasing credits to make it through the levels. What I didn’t realize is that ONCE YOU CLEAR LEVEL 20 - THE GAME STOPS WORKING. I bought a credit pack to get me through level 20, then the game JUST STOPPED. No challenges, no missions, no way to go backwards and replay levels. With all that $$$$$ just sitting on the screen…. I contacted Glu customer service. It took over a month and here is their response: We have recovered some very old ticket threads lost in the system; we apologize for the long delay in answering. The Mac version of Contract Killer 2 has a level cap of 20. If you have lost currency from purchases, please contact the iTunes store customer service to inquire about your purchase and request help regarding this loss of currency issue.. Apple does not allow developers to handle billing issues. If you get an answer saying that In-App purchases are the responsibility of the developer, please insist that they assist you as we have no way of accessing their purchase records. We are the developer and do not have access to any account or billing information on the iTunes App Store. We hope this information assists you and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Of course, I contacted Apple, and they said it was not their problem and to contact Glu...

Good gameplay and is intreging, but needs SEVERE improvement - This game is fun, but it has many, many bugs. First, you can still access the dock and the toolbar on mac, which exits out of the game and opens other apps; it doesnt even pause the game when doing that. Second, in certain ghost missions, you REQUIRE knives. There is an enemy beyond reach of melee and you cant move on without taking him out. I had to reinstall the game and restart because of that. Third, the first weapon you buy is full of crap especcially if a smg is MORE POWERFUL than a SNIPER RIFLE! Is that even logical. The first weapon you buy is the Bronson, and i saved up in a matter of 10 mins to get the raptor smh, which is more powerful than the rifle itself!!! These are many reasons why Glu should get its sh#t together and create a good Contract Killer 3. The game is also full of other weird features such as unlocking certain things at different levels, in real life, if you were to go to a gun store to get a silencer or a scope, would the cashier say: “sorry sir, you need to be level 7 to get a universal silencer.”. Is that even logical?! Anyone who works at Glu, if you are reading this, please fix the bugs i stated above and seriosly think about inproving the game.
TOO MANY BUGS - Multiple times the character froze while still being shot by the gangsters. Had to quit the app and start over again. If the cursor goes down where the task bar is and you are firing the weapon you wind up opening Notes or iTunes or whatever. Then you have to swipe to the other screen and the fight was going on in the background and since you were firing you were standing and therefore your health was badly depleted. You can’t go anywhere but locations the game insists you use. You also can’t take a different route to get to those positions. You can’t run and shoot. You can’t kneel and shoot like the opponents do. I found this really irratating since you have to stand up and fire at bad guys shooting at you from a great height with laser weapons. I found it an irritating exercise in futility. I got through all but 1 of the contracts with just the basic weapons. I found it crazy that a flash grenade that supposedly blinded the opponents for a short time didn’t make any difference if you waited for the flash and move to another location they immediately knew where you moved to. Was amazed that the graphic noted head shot and yet the guy I hit from about 5 ft was still alive. Just didn’t feel this game was worth the price I paid, which was free.
Great game!!! Needs fixing. - Overall high quality game. Fun, addictive. Decent graphics but outdated (similar to N64 Goldeneye). Good price (not including In-App purchases). Voice acting also not bad. Suggestions: Maybe could use a bit more variety in the gameplay. More melee attack animations. Maybe it would be cool to choose the melee animation based where you click in the yellow part of the circle. Being able to move freely would be fun, as well as having the option to use the specific control movent as it is. Silencers, med pacs, etc, just too difficult to get starting out. Major gripes/Must fix: The cursor issue-It becomes difficult to continue the game if the menu bar is activated while trying to aim. Everytime I move to extreme ends of the screen. The dock/drop down menu appears, which results in applications opening unnecessarily, functions being activated. Reload issue-After unloading a whole magazine, you automatically take cover to reload which is fine but only if you stay down and not pop up to get faced with bullets flying at you. Headshots could more effective, sometimes it take a few headshots to get a headshot let alone a body shot. If a character is not wearing armor he should take more damage. 5 Stars from me if these issues get fixed. And I’m waiting…. Can't ask much for a free game right folks? Highly recommended if you need your Hitman fix.
If you plan to succeed in this game, bring your wallet! - This game is exigently difficult if not impossible to be sucessful in unless you purchase by way of iTunes weapons, tools and med packs required to be effective. The only reason I describe it using "exigently difficult" is I am pretty confident some troll from Glu Games will jump up to say "See, I beat the game without spending money and it only took me 11 months!" if I was to use the term "impossible". I am quite surprised this game somehow rates a 4-star review despite most all the reviews I have read thus far point out this very same fact. The game itself would be prety decent for the modest cost but not so much in that it is bait for roping a hapless player into buying more stuff (a few bucks at a time). The fact they want cash from you at every turn turns me off to it completely. In fact, where I would have continued to play the game if it was possible to be sucessful without buying stuff; that option is gone forever because I don't like businesses that takes advantage to make profit.
It passes the time. - The recommended weapons and medkits set you up for a “pay to win” scenario. But I’m stubborn and refuse to buy into that crap. However, it ties into my biggest complaint. In my efforts to survive while outnumbered and outgunned, attempting to “move forward before the timer expires” as my health dwindles away, moving my cursor and clicking to fire opens up my launch bar in the background and opens up apps. Then I just end up taking a beating as I hurry to close the apps and get the game to open up again. The game needs a fullscreen mode where this kind of stuff won’t happen. I guess they’re probably gonna hope that I’ll just get frustrated enough to start paying them for the ability to equp myself properly but, as I said, I’m too stubborn for that crap so the result they will likely achieve is me simply uninstalling and taking a couple stars off my review. I don’t wanna do that. It’s not a bad game. I just think the devs were seeing dollar signs and it resulted in some practical details being overlooked. If they aren’t gonna let me have better gear, the least they can do is fix the issue regarding the mouse clicking on and opening apps in the background while the game is open.
