CDpedia is a CD cataloging application that retrieves all information about your CDs from the Internet via keywords or scanning. It lets you organize your entries into collections and integrates with iTunes to let you know which CDs or single songs you have imported already.
Accessing several international music sites as well as Doghouse, the program's own media server, CDpedia lets you retrieve information about your CDs in three simple ways: either by entering keyword combinations (artist, title, label, etc.), scanning the barcode on the back or inserting the CD into your computer for direct scanning.
Create smart collections and start a wish list for those CDs you don't own yet and a borrowed collection for those you want back. View your entries as a standard list, browse only the covers or use the info view for a personalized look of CDpedia. Share your collection with friends using the customizable HTML export templates and learn more about your own collection with the Statistics feature. CDpedia comes with full Spotlight integration.
Updated minimum system requirements.

Very Powerful Music db Tool - I’ve been looking for an easy way of cataloguing my CDs and GBs of MP3 in my collection and CDpedia appeared to tick all the right boxes. It’s a very powerful tool and the multiple search engines - while not fool-proof - ensure that you’ll pobably end up discovering something you didn’t know about you favourite albums. The end result is a detail rich database that can be manipulated in a myriad of sryles. Currently it’s not quite eejit proof and there are a few rough edges - drag and drop doesn’t quite work as described for instance. I’d also recommend that you make sure that all your MP3 tags are correct before you import your itunes or music library. But the developer is quick at responding to emails and support has been top notch. Hopefully the next update will smooth out the glitches to make this a 5 star app
