Didn’t Know What I Was Missing - All this time, I had been seeing Carrot Weather at a distance, seeing what it can do, but I wasn’t impressed at first. But then I finally took the plunge and bought it on the iOS and Mac platforms. Well worth the money!!! This app is WAY better than Forecast (especially on the Apple Watch) or even the native Dark Sky app! But, this app has some pretty good humor, and it is definitely a trip to poke the daylights out of the Ocular Sensor every now and then (LOL). The Snarks are awesome, and definitely will get you laughing at least every once in a while. That’s all well and good, but it really does get down to business when it comes to knowing what weather is coming your way, giving detailed analysis of whatever weather conditions are present at any location you desire. And, the Mac app is definitely awesome as well, employing keyboard shortcuts throughout the app. For those of us on the Mac, we know that is something that should be required for every app out here: Keyboard Shortcuts!! Now, if Carrot Weather can improve their Radar app to be on the same level as MyRadar, we will be absolutely golden. And, because of the snarks, I’ll have to make sure now that I don’t inadvertently call someone a meatbag (LOL)….

Very much regret purchasing - After playing around with this app for a couple days, I don’t get the hype. Forecast Bar (another Forecast.io Mac weather app) is much better, and not to mention cheaper. One of the reviewers below says they left Forecast Bar because it asked for a subscription. What are they talking about? It comes with the same hourly updates for free, and gives the OPTION of paying for faster updates (but even so, a one time payment, not a subscription). Avoid this app and get Forecast Bar instead. It has the exact same weather source, a much better layout, more favorable reviews, way more features and it’s even cheaper. This app is a great example of how marketing can be more important than quality, and as buyers, you shouldn’t let that happen.

Pretty Disappointed - when I purchased this app, I did not expect to be nagged to Upgrade. I actually paid for the program with my focus to get away from all of the free programs that are constantly trying to sell you something. I also do not like the Radar display. If you turn on the motion it only shows one hours activity of the Radar, where many of the free programs show two or more hours of activity. The Radar also does not have the option to show future projected activity. This is definately not what I expected.

SUBSCRIPTION INTENSIVE - The “Apple Editor” must be rich to give this the Editor’s choice award! SUBSCRIPTION INTENSIVE! BEWARE the little clues on the App Store page, like “sign up”(for this, that, or the other feature) or “auto-renewing subscription” These guys want IN YOUR POCKET MONTHLY just to show Cloud Cover in the Radar window, or a Satellite view, or wind speeds, or weather fronts, or 13 other information features that are FREE in most other weather applications. GREEDY! Let the buyer BEWARE: Features that require monthly subscription: Cloud Cover Satellite Storm Cells Tropical Storms Active Alerts Active Warnings Lightning Strikes Wildfires Fronts Temperature Wind Speed Wind Direction Humidity Dew Point Visibility

Great App - It may not have a lot of bells & whistles but it's got enough info to be very user friendly. I just wish it had more than an 8-day outlook but I guess I can always use other Apps for that.

Great on iOS, Just OK on macOS - The iOS app is great, but the macOS app needs some polishing. Opening the main window doesn't create a dock icon which leads to some pretty confusing window management. The status bar icon interacts with hidden status bars in a broken way. Lots of little issues that could really use some polishing and attention.

Price went up, quality went down - I decided to renew my lapsed subscription. Now I find that there's no more Weather Channel (other apps still have it) and the $11.99 price is now $14.99. When they lose Dark Sky, this app will be mostly worthless.
