Happy with purchase - Once I got past the initial learning curve (which only took about 5 minutes to get the basics), I was able to create some sequence diagrams with no more effort than with any other (significantly more expensive) software, which includes Visio, Omnigraffle, etc. I'm sure there'll be areas where this will short for some, but for five dollars, it did exactly what I needed it to.

Amazingly easy to use, very versatile - I am not a flowchart expert. Or even a flowchart user, until now. I had an idea for a flowchart I wanted to make so I did a little searching and found xDiagram. Wow. For someone with no flowcharting experience, this app was fantastic. It was so easy to quickly slap together my chart, edit shapes and line thickness, move things around. I've barely scratched the surface of this app but i can already tell it's a labor of love. Just the automatic alignment feature alone blows my mind (it automatically shows you whether your current object is aligned with those around it, making it easy to adjust positioning). I don't know if this does everything a flowcharting app should do, but it did everything I needed with basically zero learning curve. A Mac program made the way it should be, easy and intuitive. Update: I’ve been using this now and then for a number of jobs. I’ve found it’s also great at importing and moving around clip art. I’ve been working on a chart about media bias for my students and this was the perfect app, again. Still can’t recommend enough. It’s rare that I gush about an app but this one is just so lovingly designed. I wish I knew the person who made it so I could shake their hand in gratitude!

Version 3.1

Finished my flow chart in an hour! - I was dissatisfied with my previous drawing tool, so I went shopping and found this one. Uh-oh, not free! Tried it anyway. Turned out to be an amazingly effective tool. Intuitive, seemed to know what I needed without asking. But when I didn’t want it to think for me, it was easy to get that too. Before I knew it, I had learned the tool well enough to start working on solving the problem. And amazingly quickly, my flow chart was done and looked really good. I easily added scope pictures at relevant points and annotated them. Made me feel like a rock star.

best money ever spent on app store - excellent app for getting ideas down and making diagrams for publication and presentations. at this price it may also be the best bang-for-buck I’ve ever gotten for any software on any platform. at twice this price it would still be a steal compared with the alternatives!
