Works Great - Upgrade Prompt Annoying and to expensive. - I really like this app. I would consider upgrading to the paid desktop app but $9.99 is to much. From what I can see, the paid version doesn’t have any additional features and only eliminates the annoying pop up add to buy the paid version. If the desktop app was more reasonably priced I would buy it despite having no additional features. I have the IOS version of MyTuner and upgraded to the paid version ($2.99) because it was reasonably priced. That works great too!

It’s all in the details... - Does what it is supposed to do and has many stations available. However, pop ups keep interrupting whatever work you are doing iand it gets annoying...

Upgrade Prompt ruins otherwise good user experience - The program does what it is supposed to do and quite well. So why am I unhappy? The upgrade prompt is a terrible intrusion. It requires that I interrupt what I am doing to say “no.” Its hard to ignore as the prompt drops down from the menu bar covering whatever else I may be working on. The prompt occurs every 20 min or so. If they dont want me to use the free version after a while, they should set it up as a limited trial. And to make matters worse, it is expensive. I would never have chosen it if I knew it was going to be so intrusive and so pricy.

Danger! - This app, on opening, contains an ad at the bottom of the station list asking you to reset your computer settings. If you click cancel to make the ad go away it opens a Safari page titled “Reimaging Computer”. I had to do an emergency shutdown to stop it. Stay away!!!!! And…you also cannot remove the app using the standard move to trash (even after closing it on the top bar).

Good but upgrade prompts are annoying - Its a great radio app- does exactly what I was looking for and I like that it operates from the toolbar at top rather than a separate open window (I use it on my Mac and not my phone). The only problem is that its prompts me to upgrade to the paid version pretty frequenty. A window drops down that interrupts whatever I am working on at the time. I understand the desire for paying app users, but there has to be a better way. I wouldn’t mind if it even prompted me when I clicked into the app but this “pop-up” method is irritating.

Extremely annoying advertising - I have never experienced an app with more frustratingly annoying advertising than this one. Every 30 minitues it forces an ad on you that you have to acknowledge and upon system startup it throws up a big ad on your screen with a “Please rate me” request. If I could give it a no star rating I would, only because of how it handles the advertising in the free version.
