Version 1.22

Wonderfully simple calculator with a ton of features - After two months of use, I don't know what I would do without this app. This has quickly become my "go to" app when doing complicated calculations. The build-in OS X calculator is fine for basic stuff, but if you're doing complex equations, mxCalc is exactly what you need. The recently-added rounding feature is great -- can't wait to see what's next!

Update breaks some Functionality from 4 to 2 Starts. - latest update of MxCalc has broken several of my saved calcs so not good for what I use it for. The problem is that I was using several calcs with multiline results (built as a string with '/n' newline or return char) example: A =1+1+1 B = 2+2+2 C = 3+3+3 vstr="" vstr=vstr+"UK -> "+A+"\n" vstr=vstr+"US -> "+B+"\n" vstr=vstr+"SP ->"+C would return UK -> 3 US -> 6 SP -> 9 since the update changes the results are to be a fixed field and not the multiline display it was this won't work and returns an error Please go back to the results window being a multiline area!

Garbage - It claims to be a powerful yet easy to use calculator for any mathematical expression. Unfortunatly it is not and was a big let down and waste of time to download it, relize it will not do expressions with an exponent, and delete it. Don’t waste your time it is clearly still being developed and had many flaws. I would recomend it and would change my review if it was fixed. Untill then be warned!

Version 2.0

So-so - Simple. Can do arithmetic better than some. Can make it work sort of like a paper-tape adding machine, but you can also have parentheses, multiplication, division. Limited to about 15 to 17 significant digits. You can enter numbers in floating-point notation. Examples: 2.2e3 is interpreted as 2200. 2.2e-3 is interpreted as 0.0022. You have the choice of rounding to 0,1,2,3, or 4 decimal places; or the hyphen character gives you as many digits as the app can produce. Can save work. Can copy both input & output via Clipboard. Almost no documentation; probably has more features than I have found so far. Something about variables, but I haven't sussed it out. I tried 2*pi, which should give 6.28 (with 2 decimal places); but program considers that to be an error. Website mentions functions, etc., but I didn't see how to make the app actually do them. This review is for version 2.0.
