Description:

---
Please note: Click.to does not work in december 2015 due to a date bug. We are currently trying to publish an update in the appstore. We are waiting for the confirmation by Apple. Without the update it will start to work properly in January 2016.
---

Click.to, the true copy & paste turns everything on your desktop in hyperlinks, detours between applications can be skipped. Whether you need text added to an e-mail, pictures published on Facebook or a foreign word search in Wikipedia, click.to does it with one click. Content is easily transported (texts, images, e-mails, screenshots, …) highlight, press Right-click -> Copy or Cmd + C and click on the desired application. An example: To search for a word in Google. Instead of highlighting the word, opening the browser, calling up Google, and pasting the word in the search bar; press Cmd + C and select “click.to Google”. Click.to also responds to Cmd + X.

With this application, you'll make your daily work on your computer more efficient. You won't know how many detours you take on a daily basis, until you've tried click.to. This application can also be individually adjusted to your needs. Click.to is configurable for everyone and infinitely expandable. If you use certain extensions more frequently than others, you can display them as Favorites in the Satellite Menu. You can always add your own simple, new extensions (in particular Web page or program calls) by using our Setup Wizard. For building more complex interfaces, we have the Click.to developer community, with access to the click.to API.

Where has this app been all my life? - Exactly what I needed. I use TextEdit for a lot of temporary notes but also for lists and other notes I want to save. I've tried switching to Evernote on my desktop, but I still prefer the plain interface of TextEdit for making lists and notes—no distractions! Now I can click and send any info I *want* to save to Evernote and have it everywhere. Totally dreamy.

Fantastic Idea, Decent Execution, Buggy as all get up (Maybe Just Me) - After using Click.to (or rather trying to use it) for the past 30 minutes, I can say that the idea behind this app is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. I love the idea of creating evernotes with the selected text, or .rtfs, or searching, or any number of other nifty things. However, and this is the catch, it works probably 2 out of every 10 attempts, in 2 out of every 10 apps. It also tends to lag the snot out of Finder. Finder has the menu option for "copy" selected for a good 30 seconds after every use of click.to. And then sometimes the preferences window doesn't close, even though it is gone and off the screen (read, "can't be found anywhere"), and all of the drop-down options on the menu bar icon stay greyed out and unusable. It also triggers Alfred whenever you "create a new email." So, just a little too buggy for my taste. Finally, the design could use a little work, it feels like a port from windows. Still, the biggest complaint is the buggyness. Make it work reliably, and I will seriously consider it a must-have app. Until then it is like having an espresso machine that makes a mind blowing cup of joe every 5 tries, but the rest of the time it just makes a mess. Too much effort to really be fun. Oh, and one more thing, the cmd + c trigger is retarded. I don't need a menu popping up every time I need to copy something. It needs a smarter/less obtrusive trigger. Keep working guys/gals. You are on to something, but not home free yet.

BEST THING EVER FOR YOUR WORKFLOW - Let's face it, when we want to copy past, you highlight, copy, click, wait for application to open, click again, click once more, and finally a paste. Having click.to has now taken what could be 10 clicks (creating an email on gmail.com) and made it ONE CLICK! With support for almost everything you need (I currently have 46 places I can send a copy) your workflow and pointer finger now thank you. 5 STARS! Still have not had an issues using this 50+ time a day for a week.

Potentially handy, but too buggy - This is really a useful program…when it works. It's too buggy right now to really be worth the money. For example, I can't get the sattelite to show up in any spaces except Desktop 1. If I copy text in another space, the sattelite still shows up in the first space, so I have to switch back to it to use the sattelite, which really defeats the purpose of the app. Also, actions like the Google Translate are set by default to open the German website, translating from English to German. Fine if you're German, but if you aren't you have to go into the actions and manually tweak the to open in your language. It would be nice if the program could default to the language it's purchased in.

Fantastic potential but real buggy. - Icons are not all visible. Satellite menu sometimes stops working and not all selected icons appear. Satellite menu always appears on left side of screen regardless of settings. A special TextEdit satellite I created fails to appear and when it does the icon is absent (just an invisible space that highlights when the mouse is over it). And lots more. Great start!!! Keep updating and this will be great utility.

working now... - revising my review: I couldn't get it working at first. Their support was boilerplate non-helpful. But, when I restarted the mac a couple days after installing, this worked. So, now it's better, but I can't get the notifications to stop flashing every time I copy something. Twice. This is more visual fireworks than I like. Maybe they'll fix this…
