A great start! - I'm a sucker for these types of apps (distraction-free, markdown, simple). I've tried 'em all and this one does a lot of things right! Great in-editor markdown formatting... bold, ital, lists! Awesome! Two nitpicky suggestions for markdown formatting: 1. When typing lists, hitting return could automatically start a new list item (either a new bullet or the next number in the list sequence), and 2. when writing links, the text within the brackets doesn't need to be grayed out, as it's part of the readable content, not the markdown characters. Otherwise great! Looking forward to incorporating it into my workflow.

Nice looking app; doesn’t seem to have full Multimarkdown support - Promising. Nice Markdown implementation, similar to Byword. However, support for Multimarkdown seems incomplete. Version 1.2 formats Multimarkdown tables OK, but not footnotes, references, or mathematical expressions that can be handled by Marked or Multimarkdown Composer. With full Multimarkdown implementation, I would definitely use it.

Simple, but it could be better - This is a simple and clean app. There’s only one problem - It has this horrendous thick cursor (aka the vertical bar), which is extremely unpleasant to the eye. A normal width vertical bar would have sufficed; there’s no need to be creative there. Oh my, I think this ugly cursor is going to give me nightmares. Argh!!!

A solid, no-nonsense, markdown editor - Typography is great, UI is simple, and the app is easy on the eyes. Well worth the price.

One of my Essential Use-Every-Day Apps - I absolutely love this program for one reason: it copies a very simple HTML code to the clipboard. The reason this is important to me is that I use it a lot to create code that I then copy into an online learning management system web site. All the other Markup editors that I have tried create bloated code. This one just creates the basics and that’s what I want. This one thing makes this program trump all the others for me. I do have one complaint however. You need to give us the option to not use smart quotes. Smart quotes mess up the HTML code and make tables unrenderable. That a simple thing that I complained about a long time ago and yet is still not fixed. However, I still use it all the time.
