For a 1.0 app it rocks! - If you like to post inspirational messages & images on social sites then this inexpensive app is a must have! The power of the written WORD made easy in this app. Biggest issues to getting success with Wordify was typing in a large laundry list of inspirational words that matched the theme i was looking for. Each word entered is in ALL CAPS and a space between words like "FIELD TRIP" means that it is treated as 2 separate words so you need to type words you want to stay together as "FIELDTRIP" or "FIELD-TRIP." Tips to success: - Enter LOTS of long and short themed words - Try an icon template first, then move to photos - On font choice choose "surprise me" if you want multiple font choices chosen (looks better IMHO and should have been on by default) - Word count & size should be set to more & smaller for photos and less & bigger from icon templates Feature requests: - Let users name and save word sets so it is easy to change out the words you want to use - Have a set of inspirational word templates after different themes: Love, school, friendship, etc. - Expand set of pre-canned icon templates - Let font color choice be multiple colors and even the option of showing picture thru the letters option - Make an iOS version of this app
Misleading - The second picture in the peview pictures has text in order. There's no way to have your text fill in the pictures at the same size and in order. Terribly misleading. 5 stars when they fix that.

Nice but limited - Nice little app, if a bit simple. I would love to see the app treat the source image as a grayscale image with several degrees of gray, not as a total black-and-white image with no gray whatsoever, but that kind of complexity might be beyond the scope of an app at this price. But I don't think it's too much to ask to be able to set the pixel size of the output file. At the very least, it would be nice to have an option to have the output file at the same dimension as the source file. Also, it's unclear what the difference between "brightness" and "blackness" sliders is. I thought "blackness" might be a contrast control, but it behaves like just another brightness control on a different curve. And the app needs its own save functionality, and not just pushing the output to Preview. Finally, I don't think the second screenshot above is "misleading" like the other reviewer SlayBells said, but it certainly would be nice to have an option to keep the words in the same order.
very good concept, easy to use, small flaws. cheap! - first of all, i like this app. it is fun to play with and getting interesting results is easy. however it would be good to have some control over the process for selecting the words out of the text field. in my testing the result is too dominated by uninteresting two letter words (even when the input text is not). nevertheless, i am glad to have found this app, the price is really low! i recommend it for anyone who is curious. i do not think that keeping the word order of the original text makes much sense, but it would be good if a future version allowed one to make (e.g. quoted) two-three word phrases that only appear together.
