WordJong NDS: 5 stars - OS X: 1 star - Better to play on a different platform if you ask me, but still okay. Following is my jumbled thoughts from late at night concerning this game, please excuse any errors. This was one of my favorite games and I still cannot walk away from it. However, the NDS game was orders of magnitude better (and more difficult). It is great to play on my computer, but the game on this platform is very frustrating. I feel there was too much effort put into the flair and less put into the gameplay. If I had my druthers, the game would merely consist of the old temple w/ranks, the achievements, and a “random puzzle” option in which your scores could be compared to others via Game Center and one could replay the level until they reached the top. This game also takes up an inordinate amount of space for what seems to be only the animations. I hope it isn’t just me, but I find all the waiting for other characters in a battle annoying. My biggest issue is with the controls. All the incessant clicking is unnecessary when one could simply use the one-finger-tap on the trackpad, or even type the letter (tab could be used to navigate between the same letters). I think the game would be much improved when stripped of all the decor. I would play this very often if not for all the waiting, and frankly the difficulty level. The AIs are hardly challenging for an avid player, and pitting person against person would go over well in my opinion. TL;DR The game is great, but the computer version sucked. Not worth 10$ for me, but I would definitely recommend to someone looking for an easy relaxing word game. Fairly simple. Bothersome controls, and lots of waits.

WordJong really is a Blast! - This is a game that can be played forever. If you enjoy the Daily game, you should know that you can go back on the calendar and play as many daily games as you want to. WordJong, the first, was a favorite but I couldn't download it on my Mac. I'm so happy to have WordJong Blast! I'd buy the first game too if it could be made for Mac! This is a great game for anyone who enjoys writing too! You'll rediscover words you've forgotten you knew and remember words that you just don't have many chances to use. Although in the battle modes you'll find that your opponents are making up their own words (you're not allowed to though...) the game covers a lot of language! I highly recommend it.

Not bad, but a couple problems - I like this game, really I do, but it needs a few improvements: 1) It needs a help function. I'm playing in Party mode, and a dust storm comes up. This dust storm must be cleared before I can continue; however, I have no idea how to do it. A Swipe prompt comes up, but how is it used? I click on it; nothing happens. I try to wipe my cursor across the screen; nothing happens. A help function would have been a huge help here. 2) When I click on About WordJong (in the main menu at the top of the screen), the little About screen comes up, but there's no way to get out of it. Kind of a flaw. 3) What kind of a word game doesn't have EQUIVALENT in its dictionary? I tried to play that word, and it tells me it's not a word. Otherwise, I'm enjoying the game.

Wordjong Blast - I am a scrabble fan and miss playing it on MS Windows, but this game is great to play as a substitute. I would like a game where the challengers (as in Battle) offer more expertise. I seem to win by a shutout almost every match, which isn't too challenging. I do enjoy the Daily game and can be challenging. Thanks for creating this for Apple users.
