Indispensable tool and great support. - As an online writer/editor I receive articles from authors around the country, some of whom seem to be using a unique version of Outlook that sends their Word as Winmail DAT. And there are alos other types, like xps, msg, and others. Not only can I not open these on my iMac, my other editorial staff cannot open them on their PCs! Thank goodness for this Winmail DAT Viewer which saves the day — and a lot of time! This program works perfectly for me every time. I don’t understand why some of the other reviewers have a problem. I can do my works smoothly by it. It can take care of all the letter opening I need! And the important is that it Works well and is really helpful when dealing with a lot of MS files on my Mac. Winmail DAT File Viewer is for being a great program. I highly recommend it.

Adware. No support for embedded files without upgrading. - Prompts for email upon launch, ads run on pop-up window, foreign developer, buyer beware. Apple: are you watching the apps that are being uploaded? Obviously, this is something you should pay attention to. Why not add this functionality to Mail.app?

Just got it! - When I tired the app, it worked perfectly. Now I can open all those attachments on my mac. This program has worked every time with no issues. I'm so happy I downloaded this app. Worth the download!

Not free - dishonest - I don’t know if it works to open attachments because as soon as you try to do it it prompts you to buy the feature. This is not a free app and is worthless without paying their fees. I wish they were upfront about that. I’m not willing to pay for pro when I can't even know that it works.

Does Not Work - MSG files do not open. Absouletly useless for my needs, and waste of money.

Maybe the Company Folded? Doesn’t work - Downloaded the free version and didn’t really work, but I assumed that the full application would so I purchased it. The full version did not download. I went to complain about it in the App Store “report a problem” area. When I clicked on the doesn’t work as advertised selection I was told to go to Winmail DAT File Viewer: Open DAT, XPS, MSG files Support page, but instead of a support webpage I was directed to a randome twitter page for someone named KCStylee. Sweet. Now I get to call my CC company and contest the charge. Not at all helpful.

All messages come up blank - Every time I double-click on an .msg file it comes up blank, along with an upgrade window and the ‘drag’ here window. If I try to drag an .msg file into the ‘drag’ window it comes up blank as well. I have tried about a dozen files with the same results. Oh well, at least it didn’t cost me anything to try.
