Run your Windows applications on OSX without the need of buying a Windows license. Well, you even do not need to install Windows. Just download WinOnX and you are ready to go within 2 minutes.
- WinOnX now runs inside the OS X Sandbox. You can choose, which folders are accessible by WinOnX.
- Optimised for the new OS X 10.11 security model.
- Build-in .NET support using the Mono library.
- OS X full screen support.
- Many improvements under the hood.
In case your application does not work with WinOnX please drop us a note at http://winonx.com/feedback2. We always try to improve the quality based upon your feedback.
WinOnX should only be used for applications which are not available for OSX. Whenever an application is available for OSX, we strongly recommend to use this version.
WinOnX is based on the open source Wine project. It is a layer which redirects the communication between an application and Windows to OSX. As a result not all applications are fully compatible. Most applications run fine, some run even faster but also some run slower or even crash.

Works for me - Upgraded after the last version stopped working properly, this one actually works even better than the last one. Been running a 20 year old windows program (not even on the list of supported applications) no problem.
$12.00 wasted! - Serious? Don't even try! I did; Started with the “pro”(sic), $3.99 and then paid more $7.99 for a better “pro”. and it will not work at all! It is a joke.

Didn’t work for me - Tried it to open a MSI file (application) on OS X, but didn’t work.
useless to me - supports .net, but doesn’t tell you you need to install it until after you try running it a few times. unfortunately a waste of time.
Upgrades - I have WinOnX2 and I think that you only get 2 to 8 times and then you have to upgrade with money unless you have a previous version on WinOnX2 or WinOnX. I also was trying to have an application on WinOnX2 called WinRAR and it only asked to upgrade.
