Very Well Done - I've played a lot of both casual hidden object games and point-and-click adventures and this has good elements from both- necessary objects are both in HO scenes and lying around in the surroundings. The art is beautiful and just creepy enough to make the storyline more real. It's a casual game, but also a thinking one. Every so often, it feels like there's no clue where to go, and so you have to double check a hidden object spot you've already hit, or double check a scene to see if you've missed an interactive spot, or take a look at your inventory and think about what you can do with the items you have. If all else fails, the game does not use a full hint to tell you that you need to be on another screen- the path is highlighted, but the hint button is still functional and does not need time to recharge. This is the trial version, so you will play to a certain point and then it will ask you to buy. Buying inside the game will get you the $6.99 Full Version, and the Collector's Edition is available in-game for more money if you really want the bonuses that come with. The store listings don't seem to have the non-Collector's Edition version, so consider this as an alternative. The trial version is a wonderful taste, the full version is well worth the money. Another success for Alawar.

MAJOR glitch (cheat?) - So I began the game, and in the very first scene of the game (front gates of the park, car on the right), I absentmindedly clicked on the huge ladybug on the top right corner of the screen. I open up the journal and every single page for the entire game is there. Before I’ve collected the clues. Maybe you might see this as a huge cheat or help, but for me it just interrupts the gameplay and spoils the fun. Plus, I clicked the ladybug like 6 times — to test and make sure that’s what caused the glitch — and now there’s like 200+ pages in the journal! It’s now impossible to navigate the journal for pratical purposes. Another drawback to this is that at the usual points where the you (the detective) would make observations for your (the player’s) benefit and then record it in the journal, you say nothing because in theory you already took note of those things. Which means you have to constantly look in the journal to make sure you didn’t miss anything that you should have caught before. HUGE hassle.

Weird Park Broken Tune - Very impressed, as I am with all Alawar games. Just starting this one on Casual. Very importantly they are not too hard and not too easy. Most important is the ability of the player to enter and exit the game EXACTLY where you left off.

Won’t Buy It - As others have noted, there is a major glitch with the journal, that seems to compound every time I go back to the game. While it doesn’t prevent game play, it makes the whole experience annoying. Until the glitch is fixed, I won’t be purchaing this particular game. The story line could use a bit of help as well. Like many of Alawar Entertainment games, this one relies too heavily on using and reusing the hidden object screens. On the plus side, the graphics are excellent, and the puzzles with the free version are interesting. It has the same look and feel of the other Weird Park game and should prove to be fun once the glitch is fixed.
