Accurate Weather any time - Everyday I open my laptop to get the latest and most accurate weather report. I have finally found an app that does that. it is called Weather Live. Wherever I am located and whenever I’m able to, I have access to up to the minute weather report. A simple easy to read and accurate weather report. If you need to know what the weather forecast will be for the area you are at or a destination you are headed to or just curious of what happening somewhere else you got the right app. Weather live hasn’t failed be yet and its a great tool to use for you’re day, I highly recommend it.

Weather Fail - The info is displayed nicely but the menu bar icon is useless in that there's no functionality when you click it. You can't change location, can't open the main window. Outside of knowing the current temp for a city that you can't change (I added 2 cities and it shows the one I don't want to see), I'm not sure why that's an option. Since I wanted something useful to run in the menu bar, and this isn't useful at all, I feel like I just wasted $2 on an app that I just deleted. Would also be nice to integrate the UI that appears in the app's window on my desktop so I don't have to switch to an app at all.

Weather Live works - I was reluctant to spend money on a weather app for my mac when I have so many on my other PC’s and devices, but I’m glad I did. Looks good, gives me what I wanted, the weather. Also has a widget for those more detailed quick looks and the main screen for when I want more details. So yes it was a good purchase and works fine on El Capitan.

Wrong Current Weather and Forecasts - I’ve had this app for several years and for a time it was the best I could find. All that changed about 6 months ago. Now forecasts, and even current weather are wrong. At this time it says it’s thunderstorming outside, but every weather site I can find shows no rain or thunder anywhere for over 200 miles. This unfortunately is very common regardless of where I am at. I finally replaced it today.

why? - I cannot believe I paid $4 dollars for a thermometer that is rarely accurate. There is no radar and the forecast is minimal to the point of being useless. Does anyone know a good weather app that works?

One of my top 5 favorite weather apps. - I check in daily, numerous times, with several weather apps for various personal reasons. I am in drought-suffering California, I garden, and caregive medically fragile loved ones. Hands down, Weather Live is my #1 go to “quick view” weather app. Not only are the graphics very rich and luxuriously rendered, the stats presented with their concept of simplicity cover the gamut of essential weather information. I highly recommend this app.

VERY Intrusive! - Apple’s latest OS update broke my favorite menu bar weather apps, so I went looking and found Weather Live. I don’t care much about windowed weather data, I just want a menu bar display. This app provides that. However, the windows actually bother me, as there is no persistence to location, and the linkage between the menu bar display and the window is spurious, to say the least. What cost this app multiple stars is the fact that it inserts itself into the startup process and hides there, making it difficult to remove. It also ignores preference settings; I turned off notifications, but I still get notifications. I turned off the start at login preference, but it still starts at login. This is not the way a well-behaved app works; its behavior is intrusive and almost virus-like. There is a nice GUI to the program, and it looks friendly enough. If the developer would make it more Mac-like, I’d give it more stars.
