Easy - I wanted the ability to add an explaination under the photo that I save from Lightroom. I follow several commercial photographers and feeds ( like the NYT ) and enjoy the written back story, but I didn’t want to type a paragraph on my iPhone. This program just works for my weekly posts.

Use at your own risk - Although I did manage to get about 100 photos uploaded (I was just starting a new Instagram account for my corgi and didn’t want to exclude her wonderful puppy and other pictures from last year), about every other attempt to upload 10 photos or so would stop on about the third or fourth photo and I would have to cancel and start over and re-enter the comments, etc. BUT that’s not the main complaint. Instagram does not officially approve of uploading using a third-party app, especially uploading multiple photos. Although my intentions were simple, and it was with a new account with no followers, Instagram eventually blocked my account from uploading anything. I have read that sometimes there is a 24-hour hold, sometimes several days. Whatever the case, several days later, and with unanswered mail from Instagram support, the account I was excited about getting started is basically dead. If I post a single photo, it is immediately deleted by the Instagram ‘bots’. So I can only say, proceed with extreme caution. I will not use this app again and wish I had not spent the $9.99.
