Good Experience, No Issues - I was worried my taxes might be too complex so I started with the thought that I’d stop and go to a brick and morter tax firm if it didn’t work. The process was surprisingly smooth and it asks normal questions to work you through all the forms you might have. There were a few places where it could have been more intuitive but I eventually figured it out. I ended up paying $70 total to file federal and state returns, though like I said I had a lot of forms and it would have cost twice as much if I had someone do it for me. The convenience was second to none. Saw that some people had issues with payment, though this wasn’t the case for me. Overall it’s definitely worth using TurboTax.

To expensive - Turbotax needs to let people know in the app as they are filling out their taxes the price will go up if they choose to do itimized deductions. They need to let people know they are leaving the free section and going to the more expensive section. Also as a filer I should not be charged more as filling time gets closer because I have last minute changes to my taxes. I didn’t want to have to file an adjusted tax return again. So I started my taxes in January and as I got ready to file them in Feb more tax information came in and than more. I went from being charged $0 to $35 to $56. If I knew I was going to be charged I probably would not have done itimized deductions. I am not happy with Turbotax and unless it is fixed for the next tax season I will be using a method. Not a happy customer.
