Description:

TrashMe is a powerful uninstaller with other great useful tools to clean your Mac.

You've probably ever thought that an application only needs to be moved to your Trash to get uninstalled? This is not completely true, as many files would be left behind, those files created by the application (temporary files, caches, settings...). With TrashMe, you'll never let those files tidying up your Mac!

*** Main Features ***

- Trash any application, widget, plugin and preference pane easily
- Find all related files that need to be deleted too
- Protect application from being uninstalled
- Automatically detect an application moved to the Trash and delete its related files

*** Tools ***

- Manage a list of favorite applications and store registration info securely
- Clean macOS caches to solve some issues and free up hard disk space
- Force empty your Trash when some files can't be deleted with Finder
- Choose to delete only particular files in your Trash instead of whole Trash
- Delete junk files (files such as Desktop.ini, incomplete downloads, orphans...)
- Get a warning when your Trash is full

**IMPORTANT** Before posting review saying TrashMe can't uninstall main app bundle, please read the FAQ on our website, thanks. **

Works excellently once add-on app is downloaded from support site - For those who complain about being unable to delete files with this uninstaller (ironic, I know), realize that this is a limitation of any app in the Mac App Store. Apple forbids any app from making changes to files outside of its designated document folder in order to prevent viruses and malware from being installed on the Mac. To bypass this limitation, you simply have to download a FREE app from the developer's website which restores its full capability. This is the only way to sell one's apps in the Mac App store without crippling them or having to sell a second copy from the developer's site. BBEdit, for example, has to sell a crippled version of BBEdit on the Mac App Store in order to meet the Mac App Store requirements for security, while it sells a full version on its site. Unfortunately, this is just the way of doing things since user security from malware has been emphasized. Once the full features of the app are restored, TrashMe works wonderfully to uninstall applications and their related files. You can choose which files to remove. It also has additional features such as removing junk files from the hard drive. It is much more full featured than the classic free app, AppCleaner, which is not sold in the MacApp store because it doesn't conform to the security limitations. TrashMe is well worth its price. Thank you, TrashMe developer, Jean-Baptiste!

I just trashed it. - This application is absolutely terrible! I was looking for an alternative to cleanmymac and found a (very inaccurate) review of this app. there were 7 programs I tried to delete with this app. IT FAILED TO DELETE A SINGLE FILE! trashme blamed "the file did not have any permissions" as the reason it could not delete even one file related to even one piece of software. other, much better apps, simply ask for your password before deleting these files, which is a perfectly reasonable failsafe. This application should be trashed. And i never say this, but I want my money back.

Finally! An uninstaller that works! - For almost two years, I’ve had four items (from my time machine files that I fouled up) stuck in my Trash. Even an Apple tech was unable to empty them. With TrashMe, I simply did a “select all” of the Trash files and moused them over into the TrashMe Box. Click…and they were gone! Then I moved an Application that I wanted to be rid of into TrashMe’s uninstallation box, and it dumped not just the program, but everything associated with it (preferences, extensions, etc.). I’m amazed that the program cost only $5.99. It erases programs, files, and items that even Tech Tool can’t handle!
