Helpful app, just rough around the edges - Thank you to Andrei for writing this program. I used QTranslate on Windows and couldn’t find anything similar in functionality until I found TranslateQ. It works quite well. The only feature missing for me is the display of pinyin that the Google Translate website provides, which is critical for verifying the Chinese translation for me. Prior reviews reflect that the app is in some ways confusing to set up. For a long time, I couldn’t figure out how to get the shortcut keys to work, so I would just use the Automatic Clipboard Translation function. I’ve now figured out that keyboard shortcuts require the application to be modified, probably due to Apple Mac Store rules. Once you download the image, you use the contained executable to replace the one found in the Mac Store download. There is a video to help you figure it out, but for the average user it’s not easy.

Terrible! - Nothing works as expected, the translations are good in the since they come from google or otherwise but the app is terrible, hot keys doesnt work, extention app doesnt work, there are no instructions to check and see if I enstalled it correctly. Also the prefrences in the main app doesnt work either, so I can set hotkeys to anything but it still doesnt work… good idea, terrible implementation
