In Total War: WARHAMMER, Creative Assembly’s Total War series joins with Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fantasy Battles. The result is a spellbinding game of grand strategy and high fantasy.

In an age of relentless conquest, warring Races battle ceaselessly for control of the Old World. While Orcs and Goblins of the Greenskin tribes hunger for carnage, and Vampire Counts man their armies with the living dead, Dwarfs ascend from their ancient mines to settle old scores, and the Empire of Man seeks to unite its fractured nation.

Build your empire and conquer this world by unleashing your might upon the battlefield, harnessing storms of magical power and taking to the skies with flying creatures.

Total War: WARHAMMER includes all available free DLC: the Bretonnia Race Pack, Grombrindal the White Dwarf, Wurrzag Da Great Green Prophet, Isabella Von Carstein, the Jade Wizard, and the Grey Wizard.

Great so far - I’ve been a fan of the Total War Series since the beginning. I am running on a 2015 MBP and have had zero issues running the game. Was thrilled when they released the Warhammer for Mac, and have played for hours. Couldn’t be happier.

Enjoying it so far - This game is really fun, and in the traditional Total War fashion, very addicting. For those who are new to this series, or are struggling with this game, let me say this. As tempting as it may be to fight everybody around you, don’t. You’ll likely start the game at war with some small faction that will be easily destroyed in a few turns. Fighting them will be easy, but the other factions that you’ll encounter won’t be. The most important thing to note is that around the 50th turn, you’ll learn of Chaos forces mustering in the north. They’ll probably start knocking on your door about 50 turns later, so I would highly advise keeping expanding your borders to a minimum until you’ve defeated Chaos. This will sound discouraging, but the Chaos armies are very strong; if you go up against them in the open, you will probably lose. However, I’ve found that the best way to defeat them is to wait for them to come to you, fight them from province capitals with maxed-out defenses, and once you’ve driven them from the city, hunt them down and finish the job. And keep in mind that if you are likely to win the battle, they will probably retreat, so that’s why you should attack them after driving them off, because they won’t have gone far. There’s only three to four Chaos armies (they don’t settle down, they destroy everything in their way), and once they’re all wiped out, the Chaos faction will be eliminated for good. Once they’re gone then you can work on expanding your empire. That will likely be easier as well, because if you fight Chaos with patience then a lot of provinces will likely be destroyed, allowing you to move in and secure them without a fight (though you will lose units in the process of colonization, so play it safe).

GREAT GAME! - I have always wanted to play this game but never could because of my Mac. It runs smooth enough for it`s non-native operating system. Just make sure to check your specs before you buy as it is a very demanding on your graphics and CPU.

crashes - Im running it on 10.12.4 and it is consistently crashing. not sure if i need updates or change something in my settings to make it run smooth. Huge fan of this franchise but disapointed I spent $$$ for a game that I cant play more than 5 min without restarting it.

DO NOT BUY - I’m a huge Total War fan and was excited to see this game on Mac. Saved up to buy. Wasn't able to get past the download. Support was no help and refund was not provided. This is a great game that I wasn’t able to even play. If you think you’ll be lucky and get past the awful download go on and put half a $100 down. I was dumb enough to ignore the reviews on this page. If you read this and buy it then you’re even dumber than me… and I’m pretty dumb.
