Very, Very good converter - This converter does a fantastic job. I have been using this about four years. The newest is the best. And I love the batch feature. I have used it to convert as many as 43 short videos at once for the web.

SWF - Beware - If you need to convert SWF files beware. TVC will not let you input swf files unless you purchase their Magic SWF2AVI application. The no watermark version of this app is $399.95. Nice smoke and mirrors effectmatrix.

Great but.. - I think the app is very well put together. Enough so that I purchased it after the free versions. The only issue I had was the update killed it. It started crashing a great deal. Almost anytime I used it. After wiping my HDD and starting all over, I installed the app again and its flawless. Wondering if the next update will casue issues again.

Does not do what it says - I spent $14.99 on this app because it said it coverts DVD’s to video files. It doesn’t do that at all! This app is completley pointless if your not looking to edit something that is already a file. Don’t waste your money.

No Options to Burn a DVD - I spent hours researching the best Video conversion application. This seem to be the best one. Well I do not have the options to Burn a DVD after the conversion. I spent $14.99 for nothing!! I have researched online and done each steps to start the burn a DVD and I never receive the pop-up window to start the operation. Do not Buy this Application!!!

Review by Frustrated Total Video User

Good…when it doesn’t crash - Up until around September 2017, this program would have earned five stars. It converts relatively quickly, with good picture resolution. I like that you can choose which kind of device on which the converted file will be used. Now it frequently crashes. This is the only Mac program I’ve ever used that couldn’t be shut down using Force Quit. Sometimes I have to restart my computer. Sometimes even a normal restart isn’t enough, and requires a hard restart. Sometimes the program just stops mid-conversion. Othertimes it crashes and restarts on its own. Half converted files are now stuck in my drive, seemingly unerasable. This week, it demonstrated a new, bizarre behavior. Normally it would save the converted file in the folder I desinated, and leave a copy in iTunes as well. Now sometimes it will leave the iTunes copy, but leave no copy in my designated file…and ERASE THE SOURCE FILE!!!!! I think it’s time to uninstall.

More helpful than I ever thought as professional VJ... - I love this app. Once i figured out how to export high quality files, which takes a minute to go over the settings, one drawback, i now use this all the time. certain remixes i get only come as videos, so i convert them to 320kbps mp3s. i work in gay clubs so i deal with drag queens who give me files for their performances that are often bad youtube rips or windows only, and i am able to convert them to Mac files or more stable mp3s a minute before showtime. ableton exports at a quiet volume for my mashups, but rather than have to master them to get them to normal levels, i can fly the files into this app and jack the volume during conversion. i use it for more, but you get the idea. really a helpful solution for a lot of my needs in this app. sounds like i have stock in the company, and maybe i should, but really this is a great app.
