A smooth gorgeous game. Well worth it at the $10-$15 mark. - I got this on sale. I'd say its definitely a 5 star game at $10. A 4 star game at $15 and anything over $25 would be 3 stars. I did not encounter any bugs, the game played smoothly. The avatar did get stuck a few times behind rocks and such, but I was able to work her out. The visuals are top notch - its a gorgous game - and it definitely is a solid full-length game you would expect from a PC or Console - I plays at it for a week or so. I really don't have anything bad to say. The storyline was terrific, the game-play solid. If I had to find a complaint, it would be that the controls were a bit complicated on keyboard, perhaps a gamepad would be better for this one; also the weapons seemed to be missing their textured coloring (they were grey). All-in-all, a solid full-length game. Since I only paid $7, its 5 stars for me.

Doesn't work - What the "more info" doesn't tell you is this game has issues with the Intel HD 3000 chipset. You only find that gem out when you relaunch after a force-quit. What's worse is the dialogue box says the game is playable with just "glitches". Problem is, I can't even get past the opening cutscene without a hang. Poor port Feral!

Not too happy - I am pretty disappointed with this game. For those of you who have played it on a different system in the past and want to play it again- you will no doubt enjoy it so these words you don't need to read. But for those of you who see all the great reviews and want a new game to download from the mac app store I would suggest not buying. I haven't had a console in years and my macbook pro has let me get back into games… I have loved a couple star wars games, Bioshock, Vice City, and most recently Deus Ex HR. After finishing Deus ex for the third time I wanted to try out something new so I bought this game. The graphics aren't up to par- it is clunky with bad use of camera angles, and the game play just isn't fun. I used to love games like Zelda so I am used to the puzzle format- I just find this game more tedious and hard on the eyes than anything I've played recently. For anybody with a 2011 macbook pro hd intel 3000 graphics card- the game works fine- so if you are like me and you aren't sure whether that graphics card will work- it does. Anyway, I just wanted to throw out a caution.

Turn off Fullscreen Effects if your screen goes blank - For some reason the screen will go blank at certain points in the game like in a place in Coastal Thailand; you would hear the sounds and be able to move, but you won’t see anything. I contacted Feral Interactive and they told me it’s an issue related to new nvidia graphic card drivers. If you have an ATI graphic card, you probably won’t experience such a thing, but if you have an nvidia graphic card and have this issue just turn off the Fullscreen Effects, it should fix the problem, and turn off the effects as well. I was surprised by the fast support response and the organized method they use to help their costumers. I like their company, because they value their costumers.

A good game plagued with technical problems - This game could have been so much more enjoyable than it ended up being. It probably took me 3 or so more hours to beat it than actually necessary because of the problems it had. First of all, the camera is the worst I’ve ever experienced in a game before. It doesn’t help show in which direction Lara will jump, and it doesn’t move to show the surrounding area when climbing obstacles. The camera is centered on Lara at all times, which makes finding out where to go next a huge pain. It also desperately tries not to clip through the walls, meaning often it will annoyingly bounce off walls in tight spaces (there are a LOT). Next, Lara seems to go where ever she wants a lot of the time, usually when climbing. I cannot tell you how many times I died trying to jump to a ledge when Lara decided she wanted to jump into the abyss instead. The game does an extremely poor job of telling the player where to go. Sometimes I’ll think I can jump to a platform that’s super close but instead, Lara will just fall to her death instead of grabbing on. I think this is the only game I’ve ever played where I often knew exactly what I was supposed to do, where I needed to go, and how to get there, and yet still quit in frustration.

I am surprised this doesn't have 5 stars! - This is a great game!! You 'gamer snobs' should be giving this a 5! Although it can be a bit glitchy at times it runs smoothly for the most part ( running this on a 2010 Mac Mini). The graphics and environment are unbelievable! Also, the controls for the character is very versatile - she can do a zillion stunts. My only criticism is I wish the battles were more challenging. For example, on the ship the soldiers were a joke, you just shoot at them and they die….lol. I like looking at Lara by the way, she is a hottie!…..lol I actually had this game in the late 90's early 2000's on my PC (an older version). It is challenging. This is a great price, it is definitely worth more. I suggest getting this one if you like strategy/adventure games!
