I never take the time to write reviews - I never take the time to write reviews. It is not worth it to put in passwords, titles, and a bunch of criticism that may be disregarded. This update of Todo is exactly what I was hoping for. I look at all the other apps, any to find a better way to organize or understand what I need to do, want to do, hope to do. This app is the only one, and I’ve tried others, I will use. I’ve been using it since my brand new iPhone 4 back then. The mac version has been good, but it wasn’t easy to understand all that you wanted to do. This new version, is much more attractive which is nice, but also more simple and easy to understand and use. I strongly believe this will organize my life quicker and help me understand how to accomplish things a little quicker.
iCloud sync problems persist!!!!! - I have abandoned this app after version 1.4.4 for variable reasons, and removed it and all its associated files from all my Macs and iPhone and iPad. When this version was released, I decided to check it out again after I read the glowing reviews by users. I installed the new version, 3.02 on my new work iMac, enabled iCloud sync, and made an entry to test. When I went home, I did the same, and was pleased that the entry I made at work showed up on my home iMac. I was excited about this and installed another copy on my new MacBook Pro, enabled iCloud, and surely the entry I made at work showed up in Todo on my MacBook Pro. So I bought the new version of Todo for iPhone/iPad and installed on both devices and enabled iCloud, and the entry I made at work also showed up in both devices. Well, with the new features and the beautiful UI, I decided to start using it. Yesterday, I started entering projects and to-dos from my other to do pp in Todo in my home iMac. To my delight, the new entries showed up in my iPhone. However, and to my disappointment, non of these showed (synced) in Todo on my MacBook Pro or work iMac, even though I left the apps open for over 10 minutes just in case sync is slow, and closed and restarted tha app several times. Disappointing, really!!

Fails to Sync Properly, Corrupts data - A year later and they still haven’t fixed the sync bugs. This product simply CANNOT sync correctly, even between their own products!!!! Been using it since it came out. Pathetic, incompetent “programmers” ------------------------------------ I’ve used this product and ToDo for iPhone / iPad for several years now. I really like the product, but the endless sync problems have finally made it useless for me. No sync process should corrupt data, this one does. It dis-associated sub tasks from tasks, removed checklist items from tasks, placed them in the wrong list (inbox) and duplicated several hundred records. Then it spins in an endless loop, never ever "completing” the sync. It’s become a “brick" Bottom line: if you don’t know how to write software that syncs properly, you have no business selling it and pretending like you do. Not something you can rely on everyday, as a task list app MUST be. Support has been unable to correct the problem, still waiting on a final resolution, but fro what I’ve eperienced so far, not holding my breath
Agree with last reviewer. Good app, poor support, Mac App Store also at fault. - Besides the issues below, sync has stopped working between the ios and mac versions of the app. Todo is a good basic app if you have less than 30 or 40 things and data corruption is not an issue. It has good potential, the developers could improve the sync problems and overall app issues and make it a great utility. I upgraded to verion 3.0.4 from 3.0.2 on the App Store. The app stopped working with my supported OS version. I too was told they can reproduce the problem, but offered no fix, no previous version, just an offer to be a beta tester….(?) Software that was working and I've paid for simply has stopped working. When you have your work and personal tasks on a software program, syncing between desktops and mobiles, going a week without it is a significant 'hiccup'. Apple is also at fault for annihilating the last version of software updated from their App Store and offering no mechanism to download previous versions. At least on iOS apps you can pull updated apps out of the trash when they are 'upgraded to failure!' Simply going back to 3.0.2 would fix the issue for me but this simple solution seems to be too difficult for Apple or the developers to arrange.
Working great on both Mac and iOS - EDITED: I wanted to add a comment about the syncing problems others have mentioned - that problem ONLY applies to ToDo users who were using iCloud to sync with BEFORE iCloud changed to iCloud Drive - the change to iCloud Drive that Apple made to iCloud users is the root of the problem AND the developer has clear instructions on their website about how to fix this - I know, I was an existing ToDo user hit with the problem, but I followed the instructions and now my iCloud (Drive) is syncing perfectly. If you have never used ToDO before, you will not have this problem. After recently updating both my OS (to El Capitan) and all of my versions of ToDo (Mac, iPhone, and iPad) to the most current, I now have everything syncing fine between all three via iCloud, although you can also sync using Dropbox or Appigo’s Todo Cloud. I’ve tried a large number of ‘to do’ apps but overall this (Appigo ToDo) is my favorite for it’s simplicity (for just keeping track of simple ‘to do’s’ it’s pretty easy to start using with little need for instruction or tutorials) and because the interface is very well organized. I have my tasks categorized by Work, Projects (volunteer stuff), Family, and Personal. Start dates, due dates, and reminders are a snap to setup for those tasks that have to be done on or by a certain date, and changing priorities on the fly is simple also. I add things I have to do as they come up, and after adding notes and any subtasks, and assigning dates, I can then forget about it until they come up on my Focus list or I’m reminded to start them. For more complex jobs, it also has the ability to turn tasks into ‘projects’, complete with sub-tasks and delegation to others and handle milestone dates. One thing I would love to see the developers add is some options to customize the appearance (colors) - I love the App but I find the current color theme a bit hard on my eyes.
Works for me (except sync) - I emailed their tech support to see if the bugs people reported were actually gone. Tech wrote back and assured me bugs fixed and it works fine in El Capitan. So I downloaded and synced my iPhone Todo list. Everything worked fine but now it won’t sync to iCloud at all. So I am not going to use it. Update: 3.0.7 requires manual syncing. Why? Shouldn’t it try to sync every few minutes?
updates bring application back to my daily workflow - I’ve used Todo for years on Mac and iOS devices. It’s a great complement to the native calendar and reminder apps, especially for things that need periodic attention (e.g. advance warning of auto-renew subscriptions). For a while I experienced issues with the iCloud sync, which crippled the app for my use-case. It’s good to see that Appigo is still actively developing and maintaining the application - and the 3.0.7 version on Mac has been rock solid for me. I think it’s the best of category for to-do applications. Give it a try!
