"If you liked the first game, then I would recommend this one!"
Inspired by the popular comic book series produced by Top Cow Productions, Inc., The Darkness II is an intense first person shooter that delivers a twisted and gripping narrative of tragedy, modern crime drama, and supernatural horror.
Players will be taken down the brutal and personal path of Jackie Estacado, head of a New York crime family and wielder of an ancient and ruthless force of chaos and destruction known as The Darkness.
It’s been two years since Jackie Estacado used The Darkness to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend’s murder. He’s been unable to shake the memory of Jenny’s death since bottling up his supernatural power and now The Darkness wants out. A sudden, unprovoked attack by a mysterious organization known as the Brotherhood heralds the start of a full-scale war and opens the door for The Darkness to reemerge, setting Jackie on a journey to hell and worse.
4-Player Co-op Campaign (LAN) - Play as one of four unique characters each capable of wielding weapons infused with Darkness powers.
Quad-Wielding Chaos - Slash, grab, and throw objects and enemies with the Demon Arms while simultaneously firing two weapons, adding a new dimension to the FPS category.
Harness an Unstoppable Power - Master the Demon Arms and summon the powers of The Darkness for even more explosive gameplay.
Kill the Lights - The vicious powers of The Darkness manifest only in the shadows so use the environment to your advantage and watch out for enemies who will use light as a weapon.

The Darkness II - I had little interest in purchasing this game and only did so because it went on sale this weekend. I got it running on a 2009 MBP and it's running beautifully without any problems. Great game! Going to take a little while to get the controls down, and the mouse sensitivity was a little too high, but it's all manageable and I've got it all set to my likings now. Graphics are amazing, interesting story.. I definitely recommend this one!
Shadow Problem/Black Textures.. Please Fix - I finished this game on bootcamp, and i can honestly say it is one of the best games i have ever played. Im in love with this game so i decided to buy it on mac (i hate rebooting)… well the game runs better, no lags on this one, but the shadows are a huge problem that makes this game unenjoyable.. they are way too dark that you cant see where youre going in some occassions of the game. I dont understand, i did not have this problem running the game on bootcamp, just on my mac… so i doubt it has to do anything with the graphics card since it is easily supported by it.. my macbook can run bioshock 1 and bioshock 2 as well as borderlands with no lags or graphic problems, and can also run many games via bootcamp. The game itself easily gets five stars. but this bug/glitch lowers the games rating until fixed. Please update a version that will run better on macbook since im sure others are having this problem.. thanks.

Game is not correctly ported for Mac - This game is not set up to be played on Macs. For PCs it works flawlessly. The version being sold on the Apple Mac store, is severely flawed, and should be removed from the store. My computer far over reaches the requirements necessary for playing this game. However, after downloading and installing twice, it never shows any images or video on my screen, only sound. Its like I never opened it.
Won’t play :( - I love this game and I wanted to finish it but it won’t play in my new MacBook Air running OS X 10.10.3… Are you all working on a new update for it? Please say yes! :(
False Advertising. Don’t waste your money - Got this game on sale from steam and it had the yellow screen bug in it, so I ended up buying it for $20 on the mac store, which is supposed to be reliable and monitored. Considering the latest update said it had new support for OS X Yosemite, I bit the bullet and gave it a shot. I shouldn’t have. The app launches and there’s audio that teases me, as there’s no video. There are no visuals whatsoever. Apple needs to refund those who bought this app and clearly have the minimum requirements, because this game simply doesn’t work. That’s not okay. I wasted my money on something that blatently doesn’t work. Either fix this or give me my money back.
FIX NOW! - This game was completely disappointing. It does not run on the never hardware and operating systems that apple products use. Please update IMMEDIATELY!!!
Game won’t play - I bought a new macbook pro this year and re-downloaded onto it, but it won’t play at all. I stopped playing on my old macbook because of all the bugs. I thought they would fix all the issues that the game has had for years, but I was very wrong. Do not buy this game it doesn’t play and has TONS of bugs that make the lucky few to get play time frustrated. It’s more than frustrating that apple still lets games like this stay in the market for people to lose money on.
