Does a respectable job at a great price - I was looking for something like Balsamiq Mockups that didn't rely on Adobe AIR. I found this, a near-clone for a tenth of the price. SwordSoft Layout has a fairly silly name and a downright ugly icon, but it's functional and there are some subtle touches that are so good they make you want to buy the author a case of beer and introduce him to your daughter. So, what's good? It loads quickly, uses hardly any RAM, has a pretty good library of built-in controls and works intuitively. It also has the best model for editing grouped objects I've ever seen; you double click, then you're editing within the group. Copy, paste, duplicate, it all affects the grouped object. Then hit the "Quit" button (or double click outside the group) and you're back to dragging your grouped things around. Absolutely perfect for editing dialog boxes and so much better than having to ungroup and regroup all the time. Then there's the export options, including my favourite, "Export Page to Clipboard," which strips away the grid and gives you a clipboard with just the things on the page on it. I'd like to see vector exports, but I'm not really sure why since I'd never use them. What's bad? Snap-to-grid only works when you're moving objects. The default font is Comic Sans, which, while not a crime in itself, is made one by the fact that you have to restart the app if you want to change the default. It's not very Lion-y: it doesn't remember window size or position when you quit, nor does it restore windows to where they were. Full screen mode? I don't need it; just as well, because it doesn't have it. Recent items show the full path (/Users/...) so the menu is a mile wide. But this is version 1.x. It's early days and I forgive all the niggly bad bits because the good is just so good. This is clearly a labor of love written by someone who uses it every day.

Not Retina Compatible! - As some others have said, this is a replica of Balsamiq Mockup minus the exorbitant price. My biggest quip is that it’s not reitna ready yet. Both graphics and text look fuzzy on a Reitna display. Still workable, just not good looking.
Incredible Product!! - I’m blown away by how well this is made. By no means am I a professional at wireframing, but I figured it out fairly quickly and it has everything I need. Me and my partner both purchased this and it has helped out business development tremendously. The ROI on the $7 makes this one of my best purchases in a long time.
Keep Coming Back - For some reason, I keep looking for alternatives to this application, but I keep coming back to it. It’s simplicity is it’s bread and butter. Great mockup tool that I prefer because business owners / developers don’t get caught up in the colors and graphics and can focus on just the most basic necessary needs of user input.
Quite fantastic!! - Wow. Very impressed. We made a feature wireframe in minutes. Very robust features, export options, and OS integration. Love it.
