★ PACKED WITH NOSTALGIA, PERFECT FOR DUNGEON CRAWLER NEWCOMERS

Selected as one of the "Best iPhone Games" by TouchArcade's 2009 Buyer's Guide (5-stars)

"This game is really worth its price and even more. There are games you pay 5 to 10 bucks for and they aren't nearly as addicting as Sword of Fargoal is. I hadn't more fun with the last RPGs I played."

"This is one game that is not to be missed, and I could kick myself for waiting so long to get this. So do yourself a favor and instead of kicking yourself later, just go and get this."

— Fans from TouchArcade forum

“Sword of Fargoal is one of the best loved roguelike games ever to light up a CRT … Those who've never played a dungeon crawler before might just find themselves drawn in to Sword of Fargoal"

— TouchArcade

“It's playable and addictive … certainly one of the best mini-adventures you can get.”

Finally! - Sword of Fargoal is one of my favorite iOS games. While I like playing it on the iPod, I really prefer the experience of playing it on a 15" laptop. The artwork is finely crafted, music is majestic, and the retro sound effects remind that the game has a long history going back to the C64. It’s a “best of both worlds” game, harkening back to the golden age but updated with OpenGL effects and an orchestral soundtrack.

Sword of Fargoal ver 1.10 - This re-do of the old Commodore game is excellent -- nice one to play with your kids. Just one problem which is until fixed a killer. The game froze TWICE in one evening. No way to exit. FORCE QUIT key strokes do nothing. Only way out: POWER DOWN! Recomend against buying until this is fixed. MAC MINI 8 GB using OSX 10.6.7

Great game and only one small drawback... - I love the iPod version and was glad to see a version of this for Mac!! It's been good so far. Only one star off for not being able to zoom out (like in the iPod app) or make it play in a window and not full screen. I'm playing on a 13.3 screen and it just seems really close up. Looking forward to updates and enjoying it otherwise in the meantime!

When "Retro" is a synonym for "Lame" - What a terribly boring game. You played this game 20 years ago… trust me, $5 isn't worth the 18 seconds of nostalgia… you'll close it at the 25 second mark and never open it again.

Dead heros are not much fun. - I cannot recommend this game. It is far to easy to die and if you do so without having a regeneration spell your game is over. These "level up" kinds of games should allow a player to restore to some previous point. Suggestion to the developer: how about allowing someone to restore to the last temple they visited? Other than that its kinda fun.

Awesome game!!! - I remember playing this game when it was on the Commodore back in the '80s. This new version brings back memories but it is so much better. I introduced it to my youngest daughter and we are both playing it on our Mac's. The action and adventure definitely keeps you busy searching for loot, shields, magic, and secret doors. Thanks for bringing it to the Mac! :-)
