Sudoku Deluxe Reviewits - Nice simple design but within a short time playing it I wanted quit, sorry that I couldn't have tried a few games before purchasing. Sudoku Deluxe just doesn't have the features I like. Examples: I don't use or like the number grid (too distracting) I like to click on the empty box fill in my number, I like the feature that when a number is touched it and all other numbers highlight in all of the grid (makes it a faster game) and another nice feature is when the last number has been used in all boxes that number will disappear in the selection (again a speed helper).

Where are the “Thousands of grid designs?" - I can only find two: modern and old fashioned, and I don’t like either of them. On my iPad, I have a sudoko app by Finger arts. It has lots of grid designs, so you can find the least distracting one. However the feature I REALLY like, that this one does NOT have, is that when you are filling in any given number, say a 2, it highlights all the other 2’s in the puzzle that are already filled in. This helps the game go faster, without having to use the “help” button. I wouldn’t have bought this if I could have seen it ahead of time. I bought it because of the reviews, and the description, which clearly states there are “Thousands of grid designs. There are not.

It's OK. - I don't mind the small numbers so much, I just wish it would highlight a number so you can see where they are. For instance click on a "3" and all the "3's" get highlighted so you actually know where you are missing a number. Also wish it would light up a row, or box when completed. I'm new at this particular App and have another App on my phone and iPad which are so much better, but it's unavailable on the MacBook.

Love this thing :D - I have had a Mac for a little over 3 weeks. This is the best app I've bought yet. I have become absolutely ADDICTED to this app (and sudoku in general) thanks to this app. It still takes me about 25 minutes to complete one puzzle but I like being challenged a little. ;) LOVELOVELOVE this app!! I haven't experienced any delays in the game, i.e pausing or anything. I kinda wish there was an easier way to navigate while you were playing (i.e pressing spacebar to pause or some kinda shortcut like that). There probably is billions of shortcuts that I haven't figured out yet because I'm not exactly technilogically advanced when it comes to that kinda stuff. ;) but i still REALLY like this app. It's awesome. I like the autofill for when I get stuck sometimes. Yes, I will cheat with autofill every now and then. ;)

Update - When i commit a number to a cell, the annotations for that number should dissappear when appropriate. Also, basic lion updates would be nice.

Nice Layout - My hesitation in giving this 5 stars is that some users may wish it had more than 1-9 capacity. Aren't there 1-99 Sudoku boards out there? But aside from that, I can't find any fault with it. Sometimes Im amazed at the playtime one can have for a buck these days. Some applications deliver such a value, I think this one is undeniably worth its cost. The graphics, I think you'd say are quite nice, I like simple things like how it's got a pencil image where you select the difficulty - a cute layout. I'd recommend buying it! Have fun! [I've got a time of 4 minutes 27 seconds for the easy level and haven't done beyond the normal level which my best sits at 11 minutes I guess right now]
