Great Teacher - This is a great app for learning how to play sudoku. The hints don't just automatically give you the answer; they prompt you to look in the correct place first and only give you the answer afterwards; it will also give you details about how exactly the answer was gotten. I really like that all of one number will light up at a time; it makes it more visually attractive when trying to scan quickly. The only thing I don't like is that you're only given one puzzle per day per level. There is a non-free app of this without this problem however.
Ruin's a desk top - This app ruined my desk top application file. Nasty.

Great Game - Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or expert if you like Sudoku, then this is the app for you. I have had this app for quite some time now and enjoyed it very much. I believe the games are new each day not like some other apps that repeat the games on a monthly basis. There are many levels of play available ranging from the first lesson tutorials all the way to what was I thinking. There are many difference ways to solve the puzzles; that is if you decide to use help you have choices from Check entries to auto pencil and hit. The hint button will only give you a small clue that you can progress to the answer or choose to close at any time and finish solving the clue on your own. And incase you did not under stand the hint it has built in tutorials to explain how it works so you can take a crack at it on your own the next time. What ever you mastery level I am sure this game will not disappoint.
From easy lessons to Diabolical & Nightmare! It has it all - I have been playing the free version for several years and still enjoy it. Changes each day and has Every skill level. With hints or without. Pencil in the possible. Undo previous choices. As you like it, it will keep you playing.
Best Learning Tool - This is the best app of Sudoku I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried a number of them. It’s difficulty levels go way higher than I’ll ever get to, but it is also a great learning tool. It shows you various tips and tricks for solving the more difficult puzzles. I’ve managed to bring my skill level up significantly simply by playing and using the hints (which expand on WHY a particular solution works. Aside from being a great learning experience, it’s also VERY easy to use both on my Mac and on my wife’s iPad. It’s well worth the small price for the Pro version as it allows me to play many games of the same difficulty per day. I highly recommend it.
Best Soduku - I have been playing this game for over a year on lap top and phone. The free version offers one game per day-can be repeated- for each of the 13 difficulties. It also has 3 lessons if you are just starting with soduku. The top 5 difficulties (annoying - nightmare) are admittedly over my head and require knowledge of “fishes” “wings” “chains" “locked sets” etc. I can still play those puzzles because i can ask the game for hints (the game even has a learning feature explaining about the above terms). After trying them several times, I still have not developed the abiity to solve these more difficult puzzles on my own. In general, it offers about 8 games daily of various difficulty for players like me not versed in the “mind bursting” strategies, has easy feature to fill in pencil marks for multiple numbers, offers computer filling all pencil marks, erase button for any cell and check entires feature. With this game, you can have it in easy mode or do all out and have your soduku nightmare. To top it all, at the end of each game it shows you the time to complete and even compares to other players without having to do any additional steps. Great for keeping track and pushing for improvement. Very well done game.
It’s the New Solitare - I’ve wasted hours playing this game. Definitely worth adding to your list of office day dream session
