Stitcha

Description:

Create beautiful panoramas with ease.

Easy to use

Stitcha puts the power of photo stitching at your service, in a small, well-conceived application. No endless configuration, no abstruse settings: drop your photos or your video, wait a few seconds, and you are done.

Source agnostic.

Stitcha is clever: it accepts pictures and videos (even vertical 1080p ones !), and will extract from them beautiful panoramic views. Why take 4 or 5 photos while you could just take out your iPhone (or really, any phone or camera) and make a 4 sec video that will capture the entire scene.

Internationalized

Whatever language you speak, there is a good chance Stitcha will speak it too. We currently have support for English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Czech and Slovak, and we are planning to add even more in the future.

New Version Recommended - Version 1.1 stitched two photos I took of Santiago, Chile from a mountaintop fast and the panorama looks great. I can recommend this version for Mountain Lion.

Say What? - I drag and drop and it won’t take a photo. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong but . . . there’s no option to do anything, no help, just the word “Stitcha” at the program at the top of the screen. The Stitcha support screen is nothing more than the wording you see above describing the product. I’m trying to stitch JPEG’s, why won’t it even let me drop an image to get started? I think this was made in mom’s basement for a science fair project.

Great at stitching images together - The matching algorithm in this app seems surprisingly effective. I spent half an hour in DoubleTake trying to manually stitch the images to little available. However, Sticha was able to automatically compute a match better than anything I had come up with in DoubleTake. I'm still impressed. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the UI could use a little improvement. After you drag images onto the app and Sticha computes the panorama, it shows a tiny thumbnail of the panorama, and if you click on it, it just disappears. You need to click the "Save" button and export the image before you can see the result. This is a very minor issue though that I'm sure will be fixed in a future update.

Worked for me - Stitcha successfully stitched three old 1901-dated photos that were taken as a panorama of a shoreline. There was just a little overlap between the three photos, and two other apps (PanoEdit and HP Photosmart Stitch) failed, each telling me that it could not find any overlapping images. So for me the $5 investment in Stitcha was worth it.

Works, but... - Works OK sometime with images.. However, it does not always recognize all the images that compose a panorama, so the finalized panorama may not be complete!.

Does GOOD HORIZONTAL stitching. - In terms of HORIZONTAL stitching it rates a four star review. It would get a five star review if it blends more smoothly between the pictures. It does combine "same blend" pictures together exceptionally well and easily especially for the price. HOWEVER… I only rate it three stars because it does not handle vertical or tiled stiching to well. Also the first picture always HAS to be the left most picture- what a pain!!! --- In summary this is the BEST ECONOMICAL product for SIMPLE Straight forward left to right stitching… for anything else… keep looking...
