Make the gold pack! - STar wars empire at war is a great game. I really got hooked on this. What would make it even better is if they make the gold expansion pack. I would really appreaciate it if they made it. I want to play as the space pirates and have the executioner ship. PLEASE PLEASE make the GOLD EXPANSION PACK
Game ending bug - First i want to start off by saying I absolutely love this game. Now that being said I have experienced a bug so awful that as the title suggests is game ending. It seems that during the Rebel Campaign when the Death Star is closing in on a planet is when this bug occurs. I successfully fought of the Empire but then when it goes to the victory screen it lags for a sec and quits to my desktop! I love this game and i would love to rate it 5 stars, but this bug is just stopping me from playing. HELP PLEASE!!! From what others have reviewed makes me think this bug shows it's self in other ways also. I will change my rating when the issue is addressed.

Works Great - I used to love this game when I played it on PC years ago and I recently got a Macbook air and saw this in the app store. I was hesitant to purchase it at first because the gameagent site said that my macbook air may not run it. I went ahead and took the plunge and it works great. So far it has been much smoother than it ever was on my old PC… I wish I hadn't taken so long to buy it because, even though it is old, it really is a good game. I recommend it to any star wars fans that like tactical type games. Running it on a: Mid 2013 Macbook Air, 1.7GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB ram, Intel HD Graphics 5000
A tad bit buggy but great overall - Thank you Aspyr, I love playing this in downtime. I have but one favor to ask, like many others already have. PLEASE bring the expansion to mac users as well, if you do you will have my (and many other fans i'm sure) undying love, devotion, and respect. I am more than willing to pay 30 or so dollars for the expansion. Please make this your next big project, I'm sure it would be a hit! At any rate, I'll stop begging now. This game is great, my only complaint is that in GC the game freezes sometimes when I destroy a planet with the deathstar during a space battle. That's about it. Keep it up!
The only good Star wars Strategy Game - This game is simply just great. It just plays and feels great, when your in a massive space battle with star destroyers and mon calamari cruisers blasting at each other, whilst fighters weave and wave in cool dogfights, or your on the ground commadning a massive troupe of stormtroopers firing desperately against some rebel defenses. It might not have the expansion pack yet, but until then this game can be modded, and I have had a ton of fun playing AEM 5.1 in this game, which adds a whole ton of new ships, units, planets, and structures to the game, so its kind of like a free expansion pack. This game is a 5 out 5 in my book, and even better with the AEM 5.1 mod installed.
Broken, Broken, Broken - Every time the Death Star is about to attack a planet the game crashes. Tried changing the graphic settings, still crashed. Tried playing from an earlier save, still crashed... Tried playing from a different account, still crashed….. Just a straight up failure here guys, come on.
LOVE this game! - For any Star Wars fans out there, this game is a must-buy. I was hesitant at first to buy it due to how old it the game is, but I am very glad I did. The graphics look great on my 13” Retina Macbook Pro and the sounds are very true to the game (save the voices). Everytime I play this game I desperately want to watch the original Star Wars trilogy. The only reason why I don’t give this game a 5-star rating is because the game has frozen on me a couple times during the campaign where I had to restart my Macook to play again. This hasn’t happened to me often though. The game could use an update focusing on stability issues. Other than that one gripe, this game is totally worth the $20 and I highly recommend it. I absolutely love this game!
