Stampnote - Timestamped Notes, Multiple Notebooks, Dropbox Sync, CSV Export

Developer: Steven Romej

Current Version: 1.0.6

Last Updated: 1 year ago

Download Size: 649.8 KB - Download

Description:

Create timestamped notes that are easy to read and organize. Build chronologies and timelines for legal cases, pilot logbooks, driving logs, track of what you did at work, track billable hours, or keep a journal.

A list of notes is displayed on the left; create one then start adding timestamped entries.

Keep a running list of ideas (recipes, startups, inventions) and easily know when you came up with each one.

Great for following presentations or lectures - the timestamps in your notes will help you skip ahead to the important parts of recorded audio/video.

"I use Stampnote daily as a timeline tool for cases. It works great." - Terry H.

Export your notes as .csv files that can be easily opened in a spreadsheet application or text editor.

Link with your Dropbox account from the Preferences menu to enable sync across your devices (a universal iOS app is available, see link below).

- Clean, tabular layout that's easy to read: notes on left, entries on right
- See how much time you spent doing each activity
- Each new entry is automatically timestamped
- Edit dates and timestamps - double click or right click to begin editing
- Entries grouped by day for easy reference

Release Notes:

- Fixed an issue that caused a crash on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite). Please note that though I fixed the issue within a day, several 1-star reviews were submitted while the update awaited approval.

Must Have Lawyers - Starting at 4:14 pm and ending at 4:38pm, I recorded the names of 65 court cases, and by 5:21pm, I had recorded 38 statutes, 17 constitutional citations, and 19 other authorities. I tried to make my own charts to record the "Table of Authorities" it was a torturous process. This app is must have for anyone in the legal process because now you do not have to open a whole document to get citations. Plus it makes all of your research efforts look neat. Brenda

Good for note taking and storing - This is maybe a 3 star app because it’s missing some features that would make it more useful. However, it’s a 5 star app in terms of customer service - hence the 4 stars. There were some 1 star reviews right after Yosemite was released, even though the developer had posted a message on this page saying he had an update that was waiting approval from Apple - that just wasn’t fair. It’s good for note taking, which is kind of the point of th app. I just wish it were a little more full featured.

Great useful App! - *** Update. Looks like it is working for Yosemite now. Glad to have it back. This is a useful app that I have need of daily. I enjoy having the ability to log different milestones in projects or keep records of phone calls.

Great useful App! - I have included my previous review below on this app because it was an issue at the time, but the developer fixed it. I can say that as of the time I am posting this, the app still works well for me.(Using El Capitan) because I didnt want to have the invasive features of the latest OS. I am still enjoying the functionality even though it hasnt been updated in years. Which is a shame. This is a very unique app and one that has come in very handy. Would have loved to have seen the ability to attach files to a posting, but as it stands, I am just glad it works still. *** Update. Looks like it is working for Yosemite now. Glad to have it back. This is a useful app that I have need of daily. I enjoy having the ability to log different milestones in projects or keep records of phone calls.
