Does the trick, only costs a dollar - Does what I need it to do: snap windows to the left or right like in Windows 7. It only costs a dollar too. Easy money for the developer, cheapest window snapping app on here. The preference window needs to gain focus though. It always opens behind everything else. Uses about 11.5 MB of RAM, which is not bad all considering most users have at least 180 times more than that, but I feel like it could use less. Why spend $3 or $6 on something that does the same thing?

Removed this 5 min after installing - I figured I would try this app since I miss the Windows “snap to side” feature and was hit with 2 “How do you like this app?” and “Rate me now” nag screens. I get that the developer is trying to get a name for themselves, but I could not even use the app for a day before the nagging to rate you starts popping up. Well I am rating you, however not the 5 star rating you want, the only reason this has 1 star is because a negative rating is not available.

Finally! - As a developer, I often need my IDE/Sublime open as I look up syntax. The lack of splitscreen support on Mac infuriated and confused me for such a long time but now I can finally look at two applications without taking the time to resize windows. My only complaint would be that I had to pay money for access to an easy to implement feature that all other OS’s have for free. However, if you need a mac for Xcode or Swift, this is a must have.

SPLIT SCREEN-USEFUL TOOL - The Split-Screen tool is a useful and necessary tool for me because I work on several different documents at the same time. It has the feel of my IPAD PRO with the split screen.

YES this app changed my life - I’ve used it for about a year now. It worked on my old mac and now my new mac without any issues. I’m a grad student and a teacher who writes many papers and lesson plans. This app really helps me to organize the many documents I need open at once and allows me to seamlessly transfer information from research articles to my thesis papers. Wonderful app. Highly recommend.

Does what it says - This is such a simple app but I literally don’t know what I would do without it.

iMac can finally feel more like Windows - I’m used to my windows snapping into half the screen easily and nearly automatically because I have used Windows for a very long time… Now, my iMac can finally do that too! Thank You Split Screen!
