• Dynamic bookmark description height: if you choose to show the bookmark description in the list, the cell will automatically resize if the bookmark doesn’t have a description
• New popover to select suggested tags: when creating or editing a bookmark, suggested tags are now presented in a popover that lets you select multiple tags at once

Elation - This is the most elated update for an app I’ve had in a very long time. Why is it blissful? It isn’t about improving stability (BUT IT DOES) It’s about really completing and loving this app. The developer really knocked this app out of the ballpark the first time - It’s a great pinboard viewer. But gosh, it got even better. That drag and drop, that’s magical. For Pinboard users, this app is NECESSARY. It’s essential. It’s beautiful and well done. Spillo + Pushpin (iOS) are some of the greatest apps I have had the joy to use and help me accomplish things. I know this sounds hyperbolic, but it really is good for me. You’ll never need to buy another pinboard app for the Mac I imagine. Man this is great.
CPU Hog - Had to stop using it after I found it using over 90% of my CPU in the background. No app should do this...

Maxes out if you have a LOT of bookmarks - I have 29,000 bookmarks stored on Pinboard. I've had this app for a long time, but didn't run it for years. I started it up recently, and it only downloaded 16,000 bookmarks, then stalled. I deleted the account, reinstalled it, and started again. Once again, 16K and stop. As I write this, it's up to 16,112 bookmarks. The problem is that some of my most frequently used bookmarks are not being downloaded to the app I've written to the developer for support, and not received a reply If you only have a few, or even a few thousand, Pinboard bookmarks, this is probably a great app for you. But if you have an insane number like I do, the app is limited usefulness.
Buyer beware - I don’t take writing negative reviews lightly; I know many hardworking developers depend on good reviews to pay the bills. That said, this dev has basically forced my hand. I wanted to love Spillo. Every review I read before purchasing declared it the best of the best. And in terms of speed and feature set, it’s kind of incomparable. But every 15 minutes or so, the app kept asking me to reauthenticate with Pinboard. It was more than a distraction… it rendered the app almost unusable, and incredibly frustrating. I’m positive this is not a fluke, as a previous reviewer mentioned the same problem. I emailed the developer via the preferred channel, and never received a response. It’s been months. Now, the app simply stopped syncing altogether. I can’t access my bookmarks from more recently than 3 weeks ago. This would be a bad experience in a free app. For a $15 app, it’s unforgivable. Do not buy this.
Wonderful app with great updates! - I think I bought this app very shortly after it came out. Prior to its release, I was using a combination of 3 different apps for my pinboard workflow. Until today, I used delibar for global search and save, and spillo as my main “viewer.” With this update, I deleted (happily) delibar as I can now do everything from spillo. I’ve been in touch with the developer several times, and he has always responded quickly and helpfully. This is by far the best pinboard client I have used, and I’ve used many of them!
Doesn’t sync with Pinboard, No response from Support - Apparently I wasted $15 on this app; I’ve installed it, follwed the directions to sync with Pinboard, but no joy. I’ve emailed the developer twice, and gotten no report over the the last week. Caveat Emptor, I guess. Be warned.
Best of breed - I wasted way too much effort trying to find a cheaper way to use Pinboard from my MacBooks. Spillo is not perfect, but it is by far the best tool for this.
