Does your music library need a face lift? Get the SongGenie treatment with titles, artists and lyrics. SongGenie identifies unknown titles, completes missing fields and helps you clean up your song info. You can even search the web for lyrics and apply them to your music.

• Find lyrics for your songs
• Tidy titles, typos and song info
• Analyze your music library
• Identify unknown songs

SongGenie uses an acoustic fingerprint to return correct song information for over 80% of an average music library. Also, SongGenie can detect errors in songs that have been mis-titled or include typos, and rectifies spelling variations of the same artist. If you wish, you can type in your own corrections for any label.

No more guessing and no more misheard lyrics. Display your favorite songs with lyrics on your iPhone or just about any iPod too.

Are you all worked up over incorrect track info and too many genres? SongGenie will help you freshen your tunes right up.

SongGenie provides a quick indicator of each song. With the three guitar rating, you can quickly see if a song is missing title information, cover art or lyrics. SongGenie operates independently of iTunes. You can add multiple folders to check, even those on external drives. In the Preferences panel, you can choose to sync your newly found information with iTunes.

Useless! - When something seems too good to be true, it usually is. This app seemed like the app I had been waiting for to organize my iTunes library and fill in the gaps I had accumulated over the years. After spending $30.00, I feel totally ripped off. This app does nothing more than fill in lyrics regardless of how old the song is. Not worth the money or time!

Cool App if it wouldn - I paid 30.00 bucks for this and it freezes constantly. I have to Force Quit and restart iTunes and all to get it back up and then it freezes again... Needs an update or a patch... and don't update iTunes because thats when all these issues started

Crippled version, DO NOT BUY!!!! - I downloaded the current trial version from their website (Ver. 2.2.5), and it seemed to find all the missing metadata, but as it is a trial version it won’t let you save anything. For convenience I purchased in the App Store. As pointed out previously the version available in the app store is older (2.1.2), but not only that; when you launch the App it does not find any of the information that the demo found. If you check the version history on the developer’s webpage you will find that the version offered here is three years old (released 02/02/2011) and is a pre-Lion release (First Lion ready version was 2.1.3 and still had issues corrected in 2.1.4), it not Intel-optimised (that happened in version 2.2). From 2.1.2 there has been seven releases and they have not bothered to update the app in the store yet. I don’t wan’t to be paranoid but I think this developer does not really want to sell on the App Store, and is literally STEALING money by providing a crippled and non-functional version of the software hoping that you will buy directly from them. THIS PROGRAM SHOULD BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE APP STORE IMMEDIATELY……!!!

Have a couple singles... you will love it... have albums hate it - Review summary: This app has a pretty interface but will do little to help you tag your music library. In fact, if you are not careful it will make your existing tags into a complete mess. Going deeper: I have an app like this for one reason. I love lossless music. I actually buy CDs because iTunes does not have lossless. This product is fine if you do not care if your tracks from the same album go together. It is fine if you just want tags.. accurate or not. There is no way to say scan this album for tags to update... then apply appropriate updates to all of them quickly. In fact, often you will not get the same list of album choices as it makes you choose them song by song. I can do this faster using an internet search engine and iTunes. Also, it does not use Album Artist in it's searches. There is probably one reason it is wrong so often. Also, if this app finds an album but has no idea of a related (linked in this application) tag such as album title and release date it will actually remove the release date if you choose the title. I already had the release date! Now.. again you need to search the internet find the date and input it via iTunes. This app UI is pretty but the engine is far from complete. The preferences give you little control over the tagging. Thumbs up on the manual but there are no forums for users and the developer to interact on your website for further research. This is sad in this day and age. With this communication of the internet your users that paid for the software might have some good ideas or valid bugs to share.

Needs Addtional Features - Love the graphical interface and like the fact that it works with folders as well as the itunes library; however, there are features that I would expect it to have at the current price point. First is drag and drop cover art. Reliance on Coverscout alone seems like a trap to buy the other product. You should be able to drag a graphic onto the coverart area (for similar feature look at Fission) Second, the program should have the ability to rename a mp3 file based on the id3 tags. This appears to be a huge oversight. Let me know is I missed this feature somehow.
