SnapNDrag Pro is screen capture made ridiculously easy. Here is an app you didn't know you need until you try it.
-- WHO IS IT FOR?
As the old saying goes, "A screenshot is worth a thousand words."
There are myriad reasons to take a screenshot: note-taking, tech support, comparison shopping, on-screen reference etc.
SnapNDrag is the perfect screenshot tool for students, teachers, designers, developers, support … just about anyone who uses a computer, really.
Why use SnapNDrag over OS X's built-in Grab? Because SnapNDrag does much more than just *take* screenshots. Please read on.
-- SHOOT ● ORGANIZE ● ANNOTATE ● SHARE
SnapNDrag makes taking screenshots super easy. Click, select and the screenshot is added to your library.
SnapNDrag maintains a library of all the screenshots you have ever taken. Think of it as iPhoto for screenshots. You can organize by Folders. You can batch rename items. You can type into the search field and get live updates in the browser. SnapNDrag maintains its own Trash so you undo a delete if you need to.
If a screenshot is worth a thousand words then an annotated screenshot is worth a million. Simply double click to open an item for editing in Preview. Use Preview's edit tools to add text, draw arrows or circles. When you hit Save in Preview, SnapNDrag instantly picks up the changes and updates the browser. Since what you're editing is a *copy*, you can easily revert to the original.
When it comes time to share, SnapNDrag provides many ways to do that. Use the Share button to send via Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr. Or drag a screenshot from the browser and drop it into the Mail or Message you're composing -- in fact, you can drag it to pretty much any app where it makes sense. And if you're old school, copy-and-paste works too.
-- POWERFUL YET SIMPLE
Don't let SnapNDrag's simplicity fool you. When you dig deeper, you will find lots of options to satisfy the power user. For example, you can activate functions using global hot keys. You can also run SnapNDrag as a background app (no Dock icon).

The BEST Screenshot App Ever - I've been using this app for about seven years now, even before the Mac App Store, and I can't live without it. Native screenshot handling in Mac OS X is just too clumsy, and I always tend to forget the shortcuts. On top of that, you get a nice UI for managing screenshots you took in the past. What I love: Not having to save EVERY screenshot that I take. It just sits in SnapNDrag and I can either drag it to the desktop, or even straight onto Photoshop and begin working right away! I also love being able to switch between timed, selection, window, or fullscreen screenshots at the click of the button, as well as the output format/quality. You'd never believe that with those many options, you can still have such a simple little app that's VERY easy to use. I'm an iOS/Mac developer and this is one of the first things I download and install whenever I set up a new Mac. Now I'm glad it's on the Mac App store so I never have to put much effort into re-downloading it if needed. I have no complaints, this is as good as software gets :-)

One of the “MUST HAVE” apps on my MBP - I have been using SnapNDrag Pro for over 5 yrs now and have relied on it so much that I would be totally lost without this capability to capture what I need and have it organized by project, customer, or issue. I also use it for training, both when I am creating a training course and when I am taking training online, totally invaluable. It is simplistic and very easy to use, gives me exactly what I need when I need it!
Simple, Quick - Beats the system built-in screen capture. Images are easy to export and edit. It’s my go-to application for screen capture. I have other applications that I use for making screen capture movies (and they’re more feature-laden), but I use SnapNDrag for everyday captures.
Mandatory app - I use SnapNDrag Pro every day, and often several times a day - it’s that integral to my computing life. And while there are some other clip apps out there, SnapNDrag Pro is exceptionally useful and easy to use. And I haven’t even begun the function to organize screen captures into folders. Great app!
THANKS - Just keeps getting better. Many thanks. Ned C
The solution of Screenshots! - I travel regularly to meet my appointments at a medical institute in a city almost a hundred miles away. During the trips and while I’m receiving infusions I use my MBP to create many emails and short training modules for our staff and my constituents. Using SnapNDrag has simplified my being able to grab, edit, and use screenshots in my communications sooooo much better and faster than what I had been doing with what the OS provides. A great solution to a simple problem. Apps like this allow me to remain a viable part of my organization when I’m unable to be in-office. Thanks for a great app! And Apple, what’s the deal? This app or something like it should be one of your OS X defaults!
