SMARTDAY™ - The Complete Organizer
SmartDay integrates a Calendar, Tasks, Notes, and Projects all into a single application. SmartDay runs on your Mac and is also available for iOS and other devices, including any browser, so you can access your most up to date information all the time, anywhere.
EASY TO USE
With over a million downloads and 50,000 hours of design and development, the SmartDay™ family of products is evolved and easy to use. Access all your existing calendars and tasks from the Calendar and Reminders apps on Max OS X, including your Google Calendars. Instantly add new events, notes, and tasks. SmartDay comes with a built-in online account so you can access all your information anywhere, from any device.
EVERYTHING AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
SmartDay lets you link related information together so you have everything you need for meetings, events, and tasks. For example:
- Attach a shopping list to your "Buy Groceries" To Do.
- Add notes for a meeting scheduled in your Calendar.
- Include checklists in your notes.
GET SMART WITH YOUR TIME
The SmartTime™ feature helps find time for you to get things done. For example:
- ‘Auto Schedule’ places your tasks directly into the calendar timeline, to show when they can be completed.
- Or, drag a task directly into your calendar to set a specific time.
- The Task list also shows how many tasks you can do, day by day, for the next week. Drag and drop to re-arrange.
Despite its ease of use, SmartDay has a full feature set to meet all your needs including:
Organize events, tasks and notes into Projects
Automatic Scheduling of tasks
Advanced search and filters
Day, Week and Month Calendars
All Day Events
Time Zone Support
Shared Calendars, Projects and Notes*

Great for my busy office by Tim Redman - I have many different calendars for my Mac and iPhone and this is the best. It is so great having my tasks show up in empty time slots in my daily calendar, as well as how the calendar stays pinned on top of all other applications. This way, I never forget to do something that I would otherwise not notice. I really like the simple interface as well. Great job.
Um, yeah - SmartDay hangs on start when running under 10.9.1. It does this consistently each time it launches. I downloaded Smart Day Helper from the support site as it is supposed to clean the database and kill SmartDay if it hangs. This in itself makes me wonder in that they wrote an application to fix their application. In any case, SmartDay Helper doesn’t kill SmartDay and itself crashes. Online support is via email or chat. No FAQ, no online manual, nada. Nice website though (sarcasm). (Edit: FAQ exists IF you want to trundle through their blog posts, most of which tell you how great SmartDay is. It’s not particularly helpful.) Bottom line, I no longer trust this application to access my calendar or anything else on my system. How this made the “Best New App” list is beyond me.

What a Mess - I’ve spent hours trying to work with this app and I’m still confused. Syncing is unbelievably difficult
INDENTATION SIZE MAKES APP UNUSEABLE - 50,000 Hours and you guys could not see that the indentation size is stupid. Come on. Fix this and also make the app full screen. Useless as a dropdown. I would fire all of the developers who cannot see this.
Not so great! - I had high hopes for this app absed on the info on their website. However, there are several bugs in both the web version and the iPhone app. Sometimes the iPhone app (on a brand new 7 plus) just stops responding. Maybe they will correct this with updates but I still am dissapointed with the overall feel and concept. Not a total disaster at all, but not something I could live with every day.
Doesn’t run on El Capitan? - Running OSX 10.11.5 and the application doesn’t do anything! Just threw $10 away! Disappointed that Apple would let something like this in their store. But, it seems like Apple has been on a slow descent ever since Steve passed.
