Doesn’t Work Correctly - Unresponsive to either of my three Controllers, one of them state-of-the-art. Aircraft often won’t maintain straight-and-level flying, but will suddenly just crash. On the iPad it’s great - on the Mac worthless.

In-App Purchases - Crippled game using in-app purchases to complete all the planes and scenarios. In-app purchases is a ridiculously cheesy business model. I would rather pay $50-$60 for a complete game up front.

A mediocre sequel to Stormraiders - Sky Gambers-Cold War is a decent jet combat game, but with a fairly limited aircraft selection to choose from and with a shallow storyline (not that the story is really THAT important). Unlike Stormraiders, Cold War doesn’t allow the player to choose the weapons load-out, and the load the planes come with is usually pitifully small (one or two radar guided missiles and two or three IR-guided missiles). Also, for some reason all of the historical jets have been given visual makeovers (for instance the "RFU4" (F-4 Phantom) has a really ridiculous-looking twin tail and an air scoop on top of the fuselage). I assume that this is to avoid some sort of copyright infringement. If you're really into historical aircraft, these ugly mods can be kind of annoying. Otherwise, the gameplay istelf is at least as good as Stormraiders, but there is only one campaign as opposed to two.

OK - This game had great campaigns but it shares it’s nonreallistic felling with the other sky gamblers games. I would put this one just above Storm Raiders though I bought them in reverse order. good game.
