Get Your Website Listed In All Major Search Engines
Don't wait for search engines to find your website among the billions of others trying to attract their attention. Lead them through your websites with industry standard XML Sitemap files.
Sitemap Automator makes it so easy to create XML Sitemap files that tell search engines all about your website including which pages to index, how often to come back for fresh, new content, and how important each page on your website is. It takes the hassle out of submitting your website to search engines by automatically notifying major search engines when your XML Sitemap file has changed. Best of all, with these XML Sitemap files search engines give you important submission feedback such as the top keywords your website will appear for in their index and who is linking to your website.
Just enter your website address and Sitemap Automator will take care of the rest, generating Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com compliant Sitemaps allowing you to take control of how search engines treat your webpages. Whether you built your website by hand, in Dreamweaver, Rapidweaver, or iWeb, Sitemap Automator will work for you.
Help search engines with their job so they can attract more visitors to your website!

What a TimeSaver - Obviously I want my new website to have an up to date search engine index. Google only crawls my site by default every 2 weeks or so, and because I'm adding / deleting pages daily at this stage, it can't find a lot of pages and my users get 404 errors. The solution of course is to create a sitemap so that Google can find all my pages, and index them at a frequency that I request. Creating a sitemap by hand when I have 301 pages to index is more than I can handle. I'm not smart enough to write a script for it, even if it's possible. So SiteMap Automator to the rescue. It crawls my site, returns the URLS, as well as rejected URL links, lets me edit each if I want to. I can specify a priority and frequency update. It then loads it onto my host server, tests it, and sends me to Google to set up a Webmaster Tools Account so Google will look for it when they index it. Not bad for $29! Thank you Rage, nice job!
Waste of Money - It might create nice sitemaps but since it won't upload any of them to my server, it's not much good to me. I have other ways of creating sitemaps; the advantage that I hoped to gain from this program was to be able to create the sitemap, upload it to my server, and make my connections to Google and Bing all in one place, but all I get is things like, "The server exceeded the 30 second timeout," and "The server timed out while trying to establish a connection." That's strange, because I can upload the entire site to the same server without trouble, and any FTP program will upload a sitemap in a split second, except for this one. By the way, I've tried it with three different sites so far, on two different servers. If I have to create a site map, then upload it to my server using another FTP program, there is no point to this thing.
