Description:

Managing your desktop wallpaper can be a tedious process. You either use the provided few or spend copious time seeking out and downloading new ones.

Simple Desktops for Mac, is set to revolutionize desktop wallpaper management.

Sit back and enjoy a new simple desktop automatically or change it with just a few quick keystrokes.

* Lives in the Menubar

Subtle and simple, the entire app lives in the menubar, so there's no need for any fussy management. It shows the latest five desktops and gives attribution to the artists who created them.

* Dead Simple Preferences

Have Simple Desktops automatically change your desktop every 30 minutes, hour, day or week and ensure that it's always managing your desktop by having it start at login.

* Browse with your Keyboard

Cycle forward and back through the entire Simple Desktop catalog by simply pressing control-option-command-] or control-option-command-[.

Note: We're committed to fixing the issue where the app doesn't set your desktop on multiple monitors in the next release. Thank you for your patience!

Simple and perfect - Perfectly simple, beautiful desktops. This app does only what it needs to do, and does it well. Well worth a few bucks!

The backgrounds are awesome; the app blows - I bought the app because I love the backgrounds on his site. I figured it could save me a bit of space since I have an SSD. Unfortunately the purchase was a waste of money. The app is literally just rotates images from the site. It does not provide the ability to customize anything (except for rotation speed). For instance, it would have been great if I could: 1. subscribe to specific images 2. enable different rotation cycles foreach desktop 3. have different monitors on different cycles 4. be alerted when new images are available (related to #1)

Great Backgrounds, Poor Updating - I love the backgrounds but the app seems to update the backgrounds based on how long the system is running or something similar instead of actual time. I'd love to be able to boot up each day and see a new desktop but setting it to every day never updates the desktop. Setting it to every hour only seems to update each hour that I'm actually on the machine. If the author fixed the issues with updating (and/or allowed you to set a specific time for it to update each day) I'd give it 5 stars.

Easy, useful but very basic - This is a very nice app. Some of the artwork is fantastic! I'd only like one more feature: the ability to choose several favorite wallpapers (there are a few that I don't like). I'd like to be able to save 10-20 and only see these few unless I need a new wallpaper. How do I find a specific artwork I've seen elsewhere on the app? Also, the cycling feature does not appear to function correctly on my computer. I'll add another star if I can get it to work properly.

Great artwork, simple app - The desktop artwork is great and the app is simple and unobtrusive: set it to how often you want it to automatically change desktops, advance manually or go back to one you really like from the menu bar.
