More playable than Civ V - After having purchased both this game and Civilization V the most obvious thing is that this game runs much more smoothly. I have the latest gen iMac with 12gb RAM and Civ V sticks constantly. This game however, allows you to run other applications at the same time without any problems. It is also a very fun game if you are into the genre.

No Demos or instructions - I've never played before and this game came with no demos, instructions or help. The tutorials I found online are incomplete at best and I haven't been able to play this. I've tried having other who've played past versions look at this one and try to explain it but they weren't able to figure it out, either.

Civ IV and V both CRASH on Macs! - I LOVE Civ. But I am stuck with Civ III because all versions past that - and I've bought and tried them ALL because I want them to work so badly - simply crash my Mac. It's a 2.8 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 8 GB of RAM and 2 video cards. I would think that's enough power to run a basic stripped down version but NO DICE. Don't waste your money!

Great game - I find it very fun, and just different enough to be new each time i play it. I only wish that the Huge map in the custom game was really huge. It's just not as big as it should be.

Eh... - I have been a fan of Civ since the very first one, many years ago. I was therefore interested in the Colonization version as a twist on a classic game. I must admit, I don't like it too much. I've played several times, and it is much more restrictive than the normal Civ's. I find it hard to expand, and for me it tends to linear in the gameplay. I wouldn't recommend it, but others I'm sure likle it.

New but not improved - I used to love playing colonization, so when I saw this I thought getting it was a no brainer. They've changed the graphics, which makes it harder to navigate the map and gave me a head ache. They've also changed the interaction with foreign colonies, but they didn't debug it well. I found myself unable to declare war against the Fench. In short, I wouldn't pay any money for this game.
