Release Notes:

Welcome to Shiver 2! Shiver has been rebuilt to support Twitch's HTTP Live Streaming feature. You can now watch streams from inside the app!

That's not all, here are a few of the new things that've made it in to Shiver 2:

◆ You no longer need to log in to enjoy Twitch, Shiver shows off all the streams that they feature by default.
◆ Find a featured streamer you've been meaning to follow? You can do so from within Shiver.
◆ Shiver can live in your dock, your menu bar, or both! It's completely configurable.
◆ If you so choose, the menu bar item is now lighter version of the original Shiver.
◆ The plumbing's improved, so Shiver should be a better citizen while idling.

We're already working on improvements (i.e. better full-screen controls). But we wanted to get this into your hands as soon as possible.

Thank you for supporting our little labor of love and please enjoy the new Shiver! If you run into any problems, please don't hesitate to tweet us at @shiverapp.

Perfect - Shiver has quickly become one of my favorite entertainment apps. It makes Twitch effortlessly easy to call up when you want to watch, and keeps it out of the way when you don't. Broadcast notifications make sure I never miss my favorite streamers, and the new built-in video streaming in V2 means I never have to open a browser tab if I don't want to. If you love watching Twitch I can't recommend this app enough.

Hoping for better, but no go so far - Was hoping to have a cool way to follow LoL worlds without taxing my browser, but so far it's been a total bust. The app crashes on each attempt to attach to my Twitch account. I figured I'd at least be able to watch a few of the promoted feeds, but when I try that, it just says "Unsupported Player."

A huge leap forward - 2.0 is incredible, and i’m so excited about where future versions will go. Being able to quickly click through the streams I’m following sounds simple, but it makes this app one that I use almost every day. If you use OSX and you watch Twitch, you won’t refret buying this app.

Good missing some features - Good start for the App. Some things I think it needs: Ability to search streams Hide sidebar when viewing stream Change quality of stream Bug? I dont know if this is just me, everytime the stream changes quality on its own it freezes my mac for about 15 seconds but the sound still plays??

App is Broken - I can’t log in and connect to my Twitch account and the app randomly shuts down when playing streams. It’s pretty much unsuable.

Great App! - This works so much better than Twitch in the browser. The CPU usage is much lower so my older MacBook Pro doesn’t have to work so hard and the stream quality is much better. My only complaint is that there isn’t a way to pop the video out into it’s own window w/out the side bar and stuff below it. Great work devs! Computer: Mid 2009 13in MBP with 8gb of RAM and a 2.53ghz C2D running OSX Yosemite 10.10 Beta
