Scrobomatic is the simple, unobtrusive way to scrobble both your local music and your streaming radio plays.
Scrobomatic doesn't get in your way - no icon to clutter up your screen - just a pulldown menu to access the app and visit your last.fm page. It's light on resources - set and forget.
Scrobomatic is FREE for a limited time!
Thanks for all your reviews and comments - they are appreciated!
In this version:
* "Love" the track you're listening to on last.fm (hooray!)
* Option to not show the Scrobomatic window at startup (finally!)
* New plain-jane black and white menubar icon (sorry about the old one)
* Updated to use the sandbox (boring)
Keep on Scrobbling!

Great App. Small Bug - This is a great app. Very simple and works when iTunes is playing radio streams. It’s difficult to find a scrobbler that does this. One small bug - It seems to ignore all tracks that have more than one artist. e.g duets. Perhaps it’s a simple character limit problem?

Perfect in all but one way. - As others have said, it does one thing and does it well, however it doesn’t let you know when your session becomes invalid with Last.fm and stops scrobbling. Badge the icon? Change the color of the icon? Notification?
I prefer it over last.fm but not by much… - Most everything about Scrobomatic is really good! But its one major flaw is big enough that I really don't enjoy using it; if I have a song set to repeat more than once, Scrobomatic only scrobbles it once even if I listen to it four or five times in a row. If that could be fixed I would truly love this app!
Works well with iTunes Match - I’m really glad I found this. As a Last.fm user it’s hard to believe that there are not a lot of options that work with iTunes Match. For iOS there are apps that will run in the background to see what you’re playing (or music apps that read your library), but Scrobomatic is the only such app I’ve found for OS X. It simply sees what’s playing in iTunes and scrobbles it to Last.fm. I’m quite satisfied even if iTunes Match and Last.fm don’t work together officially.
It does one thing, and it does it great - It’s a reliable little scrobbler, and it works with iTunes Radio and iTunes Match. It’s perfect for my needs.
works when it works but doesn’t when it doesn - Constantly has to be re-authorized. Even after re-authorizing, will sometimes just sit there, not scrobbing, through song after song, until you notice and click it to make it start again. The whole point is that it’s supposed to work in the background, without having to fuss with it all the time. Might as well just use the Last.fm app.
