Screen Marker

Developer: Lomation

Current Version: 1.1

Last Updated: 3 years ago

Download Size: 2.2 MB - Download

Description:

Screen Marker allows you to write and draw directly on your desktop and above all of your opened applications. You can use it to highlight areas you want people to notice before taking a screenshot, draw on "smartboard" in classroom settings or just doodle away during those "important" meetings.

Screen Marker was designed to be simple to use but robust enough for your average doodling needs.

** Note - Screen Marker is not designed to work with individual applications like Power Point. Screen Marker is utility to draw on your desktop, not inside individual applications.

Works as described - This is a not a perfect app for drawing on the screen, but reviewers who say it doesn’t work, I suggest you look for the menu bar that pops up on the side of your screen when you launch the app. The menu bar does not appear at that the top of the screen. It’s in the menu bar where you can turn on and off the marker, change colors, delete what you have drawn, etc. You can take screen shots of your drawings and annotations. My wishlist for this app: Annotation tools that give you perfect lines and shapes A way to type letters on the screen Keyboard shorts to activate features Anyway, thanks for making this app very affordable.

I could not turn the application off and had to restart my iMac using the power button on the back of the computer. I only payed 1.00 but i want my money back!!!

cannot take screenshots - Unfortunately, while the screen can be marked, the markings are not reliably included in screen shots depending on the application that is producing the underlhing screen object one has marked.

Better Free Programs out there - This program will not work in powerpoint so it is useless for presentations. There is better freeware out there that does more.

Dual projection - Looking for an app like this where i can draw on a dual screen (video projection screen) just like on the desktop. Description of this product does not say either way, so i took a gamble on this and lost.

use the menu on the left - I wanted this for a class I'm teaching, where I'd like to draw arrows and circles on top of open files and even movies. Looking at the reviews, I got worried that I wouldn't be able to switch back and forth between this app and another, without quitting, or that it wouldn't work on two-screen mode. For 0.99, I figured I'd give it a try. On the two-screen issue, I just mirror displays, so no problem there. As for switching back and forth between other apps, it is no problem-- just use the menu appearing on the left side of the screen. There is an eraser there and color choice, etc. I guess an issue is that there is very little documentation, so I just had to find it for myself. I like this thing. Very well done.
