Excellent app!! - After years of working on computers, my eyes have been hurting so a dear friend (SuperKitty) shared a medical artical written by Dr. Mercola who explained the entire thing nicely. So I decided to follow suit and looked for an app that adjusts the color temperature of the screen and found this one. It does exactly what I needed it to. It’s so good I want to send money to the developer. Give it a try!

Crashes and not immediately user friendly but can work - After installing I was able to select my screen color but, like others have mentioned, once the selector window was closed it was very hard to find afterward. The shortcut to the app is on the top of your screen to the left of your clock and looks like a pulldown projector screen. I’ve also found it crashes randomly and I have to go back into the color selector and pick again. Once you figure out how to navigate the app and when its up and running as expected its a very handy app. Would love to see the ability to adjust the saturation of the filters so you can decide if you want a hint of color or fully saturated color on your screen.

Nice to be able to customize filter color; easily accessible top-bar icon - I’ve used a few other blue-light-filter night screen apps, and usually you can’t adjust the color or dimness of the screen; this one gives you a lot of choices so you can pick the one that bugs you least, and it has a dimness slider. Intuitive and easy to use - just choose on setup to put an icon shortcut on your top menu bar and it’s an easy one-click dropdown panel that doesn’t interrupt what you’re doing. I don’t think it’s hard to find as some other reviews say - maybe if you have a ton of icons up there it’s not obvious which one is the filter app. It’s a monitor icon. I’ve also never had problems with it crashing which seems to be the other major problem people have. I’m using it on a MacBook laptop and maybe on your phone or iPad it’s different. Anyway on my laptop it’s been handy and easy to use. I recommend it. Save your eyes and your sleep!

Not enough - App does offer several color filters to use which is good. Once I made my selection and tried it for a few days I was unable to locate the area where I could select a different filter to try. I tried to remove it so I could start over again but response was cannot delete because app is open. I then searched for a way to turn it off. Very frustrating. I finally had to go through Apps>Utilities> and then select turn off. Next step, remove the app, followed by starting again. I decided it was too much trouble and am shopping for another app. Support is via Twitter, and not quick. I think this app has promise, but it needs some tweaking to suit me. Once they do that, they’ll probably charge for it, which is only fair. My 2 cents.

Nice idea - It installs, works and is usable. Yet the colors are not well figured out, mostly a random assortmant of yellows, reds and browns. They are not organized very well at all. Finally, I wish there were some very pale options to use during the day, for adjusting a little bit only. Good effort though over all and helpful at night.
