Description:

Saturn Lite is an astronomy app that has over 200 images and graphics of the planet Saturn, its extensive ring system, and the 7 major moons in its system, which are Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Titan, and Iapetus. There is extensive and detailed coverage of each of these worlds including 52 topics. Cutting edge astronomy and beautiful images returned by the Cassini probe are augmented by a futuristic GUI.

Explore the icy plumes of Enceladus, the wracked and cratered landscapes of the cold ice moons, and the most beautiful, complex and expansive ring system in the solar system. Mimas and Iapetus each have a surface with a crater resembling the appearance of the Death Star. Check out "The Wall" on Iapetus; a mysterious complex ridge system that's hundreds of kilometers long and straddles the equator at towering elevations up to 11 kilometers tall. The physical and orbital characteristics of Saturn and the major Saturnian Moons are also covered.

Note that the full version of the app, named Saturn, has over 500 images and over 100 topics. It also has bonus features if you have a screen that is at least 27 inches. These bonus features include cool sequence animations of all the planets in the solar system, along with the major Saturnian moons, and you can explore rotating and zoomable 3D versions of each of them.

Very nice - Being a fan of Star Trek, I love the layout… Also being a fan of astronomy I love the information inside it too. One little complaint; it's sometimes hard to read some of the text if it'd at all be possible to fix. I hichly recommend this app, love it!!!

VERY COOL!! - I bought the lite version of this JUST BECAUSE OF THE INTERFACE! Love the ST theme going on here. I am an Ametuer astronomer and 99 cents is well worth it. If it really has some new infromation I don't know, I will puchase the Pro version.
